The Amazing Race S11E01 PDTV XviD-LOKi

wasnt it family season, hippies won season, models won season and now this one?

not sure if this is just an isolated problem, but when i go to play this avi
in vlc, it just shows up a flashing screen that changes colour every
millisecond. when i play it in wmp, it plays fine, but the audio and video are
out of sync. in case it matters, i am running windows vista home basic. all
other files, including the two episodes of survivor fiji so far have played
fine. the video lags about 4 seconds behind the audio. any ideas?

not all from aussie, go the kiwis 🙂 we are in the same situation tho, with
heroes & lost & dont look like dexter is even coming on tv here! oh well, what
do i care? i have eztv 🙂 gonna get the proper of this anyways..:)

just for the record, there's nothing audio-visually wrong with this release.

to be fair to the seven network here in oz, they played the previous seasons
out of sequence - season 10 (models won) before 9 (family ed). i read somewhere
that this was because s9 was a) so bad, and b) not terribly relevant to oz. at
one point, there were no plans to air s9, but the networks buy in packages, and
as they had it anyway, they aired it over the summer non-ratings season. who
knows when they'll get around to playing this, but it'll probably be soonish -
the last few 'regular' seasons aired here before the final eps did in the us.
nonetheless, i'm not that patient - i'll be all over this.
as an aside to all of the other strayans and kiwis: i started to get most of my
shows via torrent because the networks here played around so much - eps out of
sequence, slotting in old eps to extend season length (without advertising the
fact), crap like that. if you really look at it though, we're really not that
badly off - consider all of the hiati and so forth that the us networks use. at
least we don't get that. it appears that us viewers are treated with a similar
sort of contempt to us. it's started to even out now, but by getting the
torrents, i suppose we avoid the ads, and i like having my shows all piled up
to view 'on demand'.

australia isn't 2 seasons behind. they are up to date. season 11 is the only
one not shown yet. it will begin before it finishes in america. the family
edition was a ratings failure all over the world so channel seven held off
showing it. they only showed it to fill in a timeslot over the non ratings
period...

dude, get your facts right, series 10 has not been shown in oz as yet.
incl that & this series 11 & that means we are 2 series behind...

as most of us who are fanatical watchers of the show we know what we are talking about.
i downloaded the last season (10) & it hasn't aired down here, so i don't know where you are getting your
information from.

sorry idiotproof, but crackers is right. season 10 was aired prior to 9 (the
family edition). seven just aired them out of sequence - for the reason that
crackers cited.

hey thanks for that but typically i don't get that station. i live in one of the
few streets in the uk that can't get cable and sky is just to expensive but hey
who cares because these torrents are so much better and quicker. so cheers to
eztv for the great uploads.

hey im in oz and ive been dloading the current ep for about 5hours now and im
only up to 0.31% any ideas y?
