1. someone captures the show.
2. it may be transcoded.
3. it is uploaded to a private server.
4. some else downloads the show from the private server.
5. they create a torrent and start seeding.
6. a group of seeders download the torrent.
7. when there are enough seeders someone uploads the torrent to the website.
this is all done by various people in their free time and different people may be involved the
release cycle of different shows.

ah, thanks. i wasn't complaining about it taking so long, it's just always confused me how this happens. i
notice it mostly with daily show and colbert report.
i can't be sure, but i believe the reason unscripted programs often take longer than scripted ones is that
there is no "race", i.e. instead of several groups competing to get the release out as quickly as possible,
with various forms of insubstantial rewards for the winner (another poster memorably referred to this as a
''virtual pissing contest''), one group is somehow designated to release at their leisure. thus, no
pressure, thus, more delay.

additionally this is a vtv release (not an eztv release)
while eztv and vtv work together to share the burden of super seeding these shows, eztv (this
website) is not vtv.
occasionally there will be a delay between vtv releasing the show and the show appearing on this
website.
in reality the episode was released on time (it could be found in its normal time on pirate bay
seeded by vtv) it just took longer for it to be added to this website.
