expect this release to get nuked. there's a mistake at the 31:45 mark where the show cuts ahead and
shows about 20 seconds of the climax before cutting back to continue on, and i'm pretty sure that 20
seconds is missing as it's not contiguous from the point that it cut from.
i don't get it. don't these people watch the episode before they upload?
i'm guessing they don't.
"they" meaning "the scene" that cap/record the shows...over which eztv has no control.

note: no episode next week due to the july 1st holiday in canada.
see you in 2 weeks. maybe?"
i was wondering that myself. there are a several shows that i've been keeping an eye on because i
figured their schedules would be effected by either the us 4th of july or canada's 1st of july...but i had
forgot about continuum until now. thanks for the reminder. 🙂
actually this isn't that bad. there are two points in the episode where the footage plays up and
small sections from later on in the episode play before continuing on as normal. but the full
episode is in this file albeit with those two flaws.

there's a large amount of pressure on release groups to get shows out as soon after broadcast as possible
(try looking here when a 720p is delayed an hour or two...) so there really *isn't* the time for the encoder
to watch the whole show after encoding to ensure it's perfect.
that said, it usually isn't necessary; the release groups have well established encoding setups and
procedures, and so the vast majority of releases are trouble-free. since that is the case, the current "fast
release with occasional nuke/repack" is actually more efficient overall.
