i prefer to watch indie shows on geekandsundry.com or lectures on ted.com
than watch falling skies, this show can give someone brain damage.
funny, i'm a big ted and g&s fan too, but i also enjoy this. people need to stop taking scifi so damn
seriously or expecting every series to have epic scope and mind broadening subtexts, it's tv after all. i
should also point out that one of your g&s content producers (will whedon) was weasley crusher in
tng, the most annoying actor in almost any scifi series - he did redeem himself in the guild though.
although...it would be nice to have just one current scifi tv show that we could take seriously....
like so many from the past.
sometimes i get mad at this show. it would be sooooo much better, imo, if they would just leave out
some the super lame dialogue and stupid actions...they wouldn't even have to add anything...just leave
out the super stupid parts. if/when i catch myself getting peeved i tell myself, "don't take it so
seriously", just like you said, dracusis ๐
i have no problem not taking "eureka" too serious, and i enjoy the show quite a bit. it's cute,
humorous, silly, has flashy cool futuristic scifi tech stuff, a few cute women a few cute men, and at the
end carter saves the town. however, with falling skies, it aint so easy. a highly advanced alien race,
lazer firing robots, hover craft, tech from another world, hunting down and killing humans, and we
throw an insulated blanket over the hood of a car to hide our heat signature...and it worked? what
about the exhuast, sound, satellite imaging, etc? a little insulting. i had high hopes for something more
than it is. wow! there i go. breath...don't take it so damn seriously.
lol, oh well.

let's not be too harsh,it's on tnt afterall, not hbo....now,after game of thrones i hope sometime in the
near future that hbo does produce a scifi show,no doubt hbo produces shows that have great
production values, talented actors, writers, directors etc....look at alan taylor ,he directed some of the
best episodes of game of thrones and now he will go on to direct thor 2.
can you imagine if firefly had been on hbo instead of stupid fox ?

i have to agree with you.
i watched the first series patiently waiting for the show to thrill me, excite me or at least have
me sitting up and paying attention.
episode after episode the promise of epicness was always down the next block or just over the ridge.
instead there would be the same cutaways to some touchy-feely gagfest of poorly executed dialogue
for the majority of the episode whilst they pretty much ignored or were ignored by the invasion
forces.
i gave this show every chance and was consequently left dissappointed time after time. this should
have been cancelled, burned, buried and consigned to the same warehouse the 'ark of the covenant'
was stored in "raiders".
i will never watch this shitty show again after that season finale last year.
he fires a rpg into the air at a massive arc and somehow he plinks a flying saucer 2000 feet above
him?!?!?!?!?!?
who will chug a beer with me when it is cancelled?
