looks solid so far. rather impressed with the future tech visuals - fancy, but not flashy. let's hope it doesn't
drop the ball and turn out like daybreak did.
wow first science-fiction show that actually presents time travel recursion paradox in a way that makes
sense (if you traveled to the past you were already part of what made the futuristic present happen to
begin with so failing to change the past could be equally disruptive).
so as far as science fiction writing goes this series gets an a+ .
its canadian and has nothing to do with cbs or syfy as far as i know gives it an a++.
(cbs tend to get good shows only to cancel them later and syfy... well you know what they are)
now the bad stuff: with the explosive beginning of 2077 and its cool reality our protagonist goes back to
2012 (probably due to budget reasons but officially because she needs to arrest some terrorists).
if there is one thing we are all sure of about 2012 is that there are way too many cop shows around, so
it can go really wrong by playing into the whole "another cop show" routine so lets hope it doesn't stay
there too long.
terminator: the sarah connors chronicles (if any of you remember it) also tried walking walking that line
of science fiction future mixed with present settings and got cancelled for its high budget as it became
more and more awesome.
so all in all i am rooting for this show but i would continue exploring 2077 instead of going back to the
past.
seriously worth the watch. usa here, and i thought the show looked really well. plus the smoking man
from the x-files is in it. 🙂
one critique is like what was said earlier, "i hope they visit 2077 more." i agree this could easily
get into a cop drama flop mode, but judging by the beginning, 'memory' scene, and the end, i'd think
they'll have visions of the future in her memories that develop a mystery, sort of what stargate
universe did in it's first two seasons.
wonder who the "good" and "bad" guys are, who are the "freedom figthers" and who are
the "terrorists"...
they only have a few of those guys in 2012, so they are either planning an early cancellation (you
know, an actress might look good in first episode, or even the first few episodes, but there comes a
time when looks just aren't going to save it anymore) -- or the actual overarching story hasn't even
started yet.

like real life i think its not so black & white , which indicate signs of intelligence which is more
dangerous nowadays because for some reason it looks like many people only like stupid shows with
cardboard writing.
(if you don't believe me ask yourself how many shows get cancelled in favor of reality tv or even look
at the responses some people had to game of thrones s02e09 on this site).
as for the protagonist hotness, she is hot but she has a family which damages her sex appeal
somewhat.
