Continuum S01E01 HDTV x264-2HD

continuum is a canadian science fiction series starring rachel nichols that premiered on showcase on
may 27, 2012. the first season will consist of 10 episodes.

cps protector kiera cameron (rachel nichols) is transported from the year 2077 to 2012 when a group
of terrorists from her time escapes execution by fleeing to present day. in order to track them down
and stop them from endangering the past, kiera joins the local police force and uses the skills of a
young tech genius (erik knudsen).

but will it be as cheesy as "time trax"? 🙂

this sounds like the exact reverse of alcatraz. in that show, dangerous criminals from the past were
coming to present day, and in this show they're coming from the future. sounds lame, but i'll give it a
few episodes before exiling it to my recycling bin.

after first ep i am cautiously optimistic. here's hoping it evolves into good scifi and doesn't go
downhill from this decent if not overly original start.

i doubt nichols can carry a show. she couldn't even carry her own character on criminal minds. but,
since there's basically no other sci-fi these days, i'll give it a shot.

awesome show! i really enjoyed it. can't wait for the next episode.
hopefully it does good so there can be many more episodes.

comparing this show to alcatraz is completely wrong! this show is like 100 times better. the special
effects is pretty kick ass too.

this is not like alcatraz, this shows has potential

i'm hoping this won't turn into a formula show; despite the cliche'd concept there are some interesting
touches (like the bad guys being on the side of democracy and the good guys fighting for what is
effectively a plutocratic dictatorship), so i'm intrigued to see where this goes.

i understand what people are saying about a "reverse alcatraz", but continuum looks to be a superior
show ... imo. of course that's based on the first episode, there's no way to know what the rest of the
season will be like, but i'm hooked and i can't wait for next week. as for rachel nichols not being able to
carry a show, i think she did a terric job in her 2005 series the inside. also, am i the only one who
thought the reveal of who alec is a bit soon? that's usually something we'd find out at the end of a
season on other shows.
