HDTV Correct Setup - Help needed

hi guys,

i have a 32" lcd hdtv with my computer connected directly to it (vga to
vga). normally, i download the 350 mb files. yesterday i downloaded 24 s06e08
720p hdtv x264-ctu. i'm not noticing that much of a difference when i watch it
(using vlc media player). i wonder am i doing something wrong?

should my pc be connected to my hdtv using a vga to hdmi cable?
do i need to buy a hdtv dvd player & burn the 720p files to dvd to get the hd
experience?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

to be honest if it was me i wouldn\'t connect my lcd to a pc and would much
rather have a really good tft (or 2) for that purpose but i suppose everyone
is entitled to their own opinions. it\'s a case of different strokes for
different folks.
