Game of Thrones S02E03 720p HDTV x264-IMMERSE

how come we don't get 5.1 sound any more? it's one of the only shows i'd like to enjoy with full surround
sound ☹️ not complaining at all here, just wondering whats the reason.

it becomes 5.1 actually, only the recap at the beginning is 2.0.

i heard some players can't switch it around like that, but works fine on media player classic + ffdshow.

what are the pros & cons of each?

why would immerse post s02e01 in the .3gp and all his other 720p files in x264 ??

what does the rm mean ??

what is the difference between x264 & h264 ??

i use azereus/vuze to download & gom player to play directly onto my tv. i will dl in both .3gp &
.mkv to see which type file would give me the best picture. any bets i'll be able to see which is
better ? remember, i'm using 60 year old eyes.

i'm not entirely sure, but i believe the episode 1 file was an april fools joke. it's likely an mkv file like the
others,
they just renamed it to mess with people. rm = realmedia i believe.

and people wonder why old dogs give up learning new tricks.

niece & nephew - one is getting her masters in computer sciences and the other is majoring in
business with a minor in computer science. they live with me here in austin while going to school &
feel it is their duty to yank this once contented "curmudgeon" out of the dark ages. lmao
