tip: have a backup plan...come to eztv 1st...for reliable, quality, torrent links.
if what you're looking for is not here, and you can't wait a few days or a week to see if the torrent is
posted later, then have a back up plan and you will never need to ask for a missing episode ever
again...and others' can stop posting endless numbers of links.
example: my backup is tpb www.thepiratebay.se
only download from a vip or trusted member...the ones with a green or pink skull icon. i also have a
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th site on my backkup list but tpb almost always has what i'm looking for.
happy hunting. hope this helps.
tip 2: if you like tpb but are having trouble with the magnet links, for whatever reason...
... (some people have been complaining about this lately), you can use either one of these
workarounds:
- for the time being, piratebay still does *serve* torrent files, it just doesn't overtly *link* to them any
more. construct the download url thusly: http://torrents.thepiratebay.se/[file-id]/[filename],
where [file-id] is the numeric identifier that appears in the url of the torrent info page, and [filename] is
- you guessed it - the name for the .torrent file. the latter is entirely up to you, though "[torrent-
name].torrent" has a lot going for it, imo. 😉
- alternatively, and for future reference, sticking the "info hash" hex value into google gives you
immediate and uncluttered access to whichever other torrent and meta sites the identical content has
been cross- or re-posted to - most of which have so far been more conservative with regard to magnet
links.
@kassyopeia -- thank you. i did not know this. yay! i learned something new today.
i fear that it may be beyond the comprehension of the beginners, and maybe some of the long time
less tech savvy regulars, but i got it and i appreciate it 😄
^ thanks for the feedback. can you think of a place to re-post this in which it would be more likely to find
its target audience than in this random episode thread? none of the stickies seemed suitable to me...
fortunately the target audience is small.
just those with magnet link issues...most of which are torrent client and browswer settings related.
there are tons of posts out there on the internets with solutions for magnet link issues.
meanwhile, when i see someone needing a link to an actual torrent file i'll hook them up...and suggest
they google a more permanent solution to their magnet link issue.
