the 3 part special heart of archness was considered as the 1st 3 episodes of series 3. so makes this
episode 12.

at a guess, this is s03e12 counting the three-episode special as s03e01 through e03, whereas last week's
episode was s03e08 not counting those episodes.
in other words, this is just a labelling issue.

imdb needs to step up their game - this whole including a 3-part special in a season is bush-league.

actually, it was originally part of of season 3 as 16 episodes were approved for archer for season 3
instead of the usual 13 - the first three being an epilogue to season 2. even the fx site originally
had them listed as episodes 1-3 of season 3, then some producer said in a comic-con interview they
were season 2 episodes - and confusion reigned with no one (included stations, fans and fx) too sure
which episodes were which. finally fx called them special episodes and didn't include them in season
2 episode list or season 3. some scene groups are still using original numbering though.

nope. imdb made a deliberate choice some five years ago to adopt an entirely separate episode
numbering scheme. the upside is that it is consistent across all series in the db, the downside that it
regularly leads to disagreements with the so-called official episode numbers.
the moral is to use imdb episode numbers for what they are and not to expect them to be something that
they are not.

every week do we have to have an issue with the numbering? i mean what are people just all of a sudden
jumping in in the middle of the season so this is news to them? ffs stfu about it!!!!!!!!!!

imho....
...imdb is fine, sometimes great, for show descriptions, user ratings, and user reviews. however, not
so good when it comes to keeping up with season and episode lists.
for season/episode lists, my first two stops are tvrage and wiki.

it has been my experience that tvrage and wiki are correct, and/or match scene releases, more often
than any other site. there are instances when "the scene" release groups are using a numbering
scheme that does not match tvrage, wiki, or any other site for that matter. sometimes an official
season/episode list is not available at the time a show is being capped, sometimes a list exists but then
changes later on down the road. the people behind scene releases do their very best to
be methodical and logical. in the end...shit happens get over it. lol.

this confused me because i went back to check my downloads and realised i had downloaded the 1st 3
episodes and had got a mix of part the 3 part special "heart of archness" and the now called
episodes 4,5 & 6 episodes. all the episodes on eztv are the correct 1-8 (numbered 4 -
11 on imdb an wikipedia). you just need to download the 3 part special separately as one video to
make sure you
have all of it and be able to watch in the correct running order. otherwise it just won't make sense
when watching if the episodes are all mixed up or missing.
its stupid when different groups use different numbering. at least put an episode title on it so
everybody knows exactly what episode they are getting, especially if the numbering system is all out
of sequence.

oh my god, how confusement!
looking at the list of torrent labels for archer on this site it is all over the effin' place.
the problem is consistency. of course.
once you start with a sequence you can't use the same label or change the format of your labels.

and shared by unpaid hobbyists, they do a major fu*king awesome job....very few errors,
when put into perspective.
there was some confusion this past season due to the three-and-a-half month long break between
airings of the show. some sites counted the 3 part special as part of season 3 and some did not. it is

part of the full regular season.
