this is a mp4 video not mp3 dude !
the mpeg-4 video format uses separate compression for audio and video tracks. video is compressed
with mpeg-4 video encoding. audio is compressed using aac compression, the same type of audio
compression used in .aac files.
mp4 files are supported by many video programs and various hardware devices.
at the same file size, mp4 files have a better video quality then avi files.
both avi and mpeg4 are media container, can store more kinds of video codec. you should compare
video codec, not media container, for example: divx avi video and divx mp4 video have same quality
and compression rate. i know h.264/avc mp4 video offer the better quality than avi video codec.
if you play this on a fairly decent computer there should be no problem.
a lot of media streamers also support mp4/.h264 media.
if you have an ati or nvidia graphics card, it will most likely have .h264 hardware acceleration.
use vlc (no hardware acceleration) or mpc-hc (media player classic home cinema) from source forge to
play.
hardware acceleration gives smoother play, better quality, and will run on less capable systems.
it probably will not play on stand-alone dvd or bluray players. google for "mp4 to dvd converter"
first convert then burn.
it is generally expected most release groups will switch to .h264 encoding in the near future.
