i'm a chick and a big kev and jay fan. i know everyone is busting on this show because it's like celebrity
pawn stars: comic book edition, but i love it!
first, it has kevin smith in it. watching the show is more reminiscent of "an evening with kevin smith,"
which i love. second, if you like kevin smith's work or the podcasts then you'll like the show. third, for
this episode, jay shows up. yes, jay may be crazy, but that is why i loved him in the first place. he and
kev have this special bond and he's pure energy in motion. lots of creativity oozing out of him amid the
non-stop chaos.
if you're the typical add guy, or someone who thinks the "jackass" dude is a god, you might not be able
to appreciate the series as much. i don't know squat about comic books, but i like learning about new
things (won't remember what they said by tomorrow...that's the reality of being 52). if you're a kevin
smith fan though, i think you'll like the show. it's kevin and friends just being themselves. they're funny
and entertaining. they need to dial it back a bit on ming though - too many bullies in this world. (kev
better have given him back the money mewes spent on his card. lol! ming needs to learn some tough
love.)
i pretty much despise reality tv, but this i'll have fun watching.
