it'll come eventually... keep in mind there are fewer groups doing xvid these days so it takes a
little longer for all the shows to be done and x264 encodes quicker so is often released quicker
than avi would previously have been.... makes the wait for xvid seem even longer.

thanks for the external link. if i was just downloading and watching i don't think i'd care as much but i'm
archiving more than a few shows on dvds and like to keep the formats consistent if i can.

so sad that i now have to go elsewhere to get my avi, it was so much easier to get all shows in one
place. but most of my family only have dvd players, so can watch avi but not mp4, i tried to by a
dvd player to play mp4 but when i got it home it didn't play them. so if possible can avi please be
listed also, like you do with the 720s, then we are all happy.

ps3 and xbox will play x264 mp4s via usb if that's a viable alternative for you?

yep, totally agree, eztv, please pay attention to these complaints. we are downloading elsewhere,
and why would we bother? because the format just doesnt play correctly on a lot of machines.
particularly laptops with onboard video cards

nope, i have multiple dvd players with usb and standalone media players that will all play avi but
none will play this x264 crap ☹️
