iraq war veteran walter sherman gained a reputation while serving in the army military police as
someone who was very good at tracking down insurgents, deserters and improvised explosive devices
(ieds). unfortunately, walter found one ied just moments before it found him.
two months later, when walter woke from his coma, he earned an honorable discharge and returned
home. his resulting brain damage from the explosion transformed him from someone skilled at
recovering people and things into something much more extraordinary: a finder.
from the creator of the hit series bones comes the finder, the new one-hour procedural centering on
a remarkable man who uses his unique gift to help others recover what they've lost.

sadly, the hate that bones fans seem to have for this show has doomed it already. the episode had
only 5.45 million viewers so i wouldn't hold my breath for a second season.
still havent watched the episode but im not surprised to hear that it did bad. bad enough that its a spinoff even worse
was the episode that they forced upon us last season during bones.
that episode along with the premise for the show just wasnt selling or winning me over personally.
this actually was a good start to the series-- for those who aren't determined to pre-judge
something they haven't even watched. the cast has great interaction, the plot was good, the main
character is interesting (if a bit too pretty), and story arcs were established that should help
keep this from just being a "mystery of the week" kind of show.
the character may have been featured on bones, but this show is nothing like that one, so if you
have to hate on bones because that's kewl to do (or if you sincerely don't like that series), rest
assured, that will have no bearing on whether you'll like this one.

just to be clear i intend to watch the show but the fact that i was hardly impressed with the debut
during bones, which if you watched that episode it may as well have been episode #1 for all intents
and purposes, clearly has it starting off on the wrong foot for me at least.
also i dont tend to watch, the then, 6th season of shows that i dont enjoy watching. so no i dont
think its some kewl thing to do to hate on bones. i've been watching and following that show avidly
since season 3.
and while this show doesnt have any squints on it, dont fool yourself into thinking this spinoff
doesnt share any similar characteristics with bones.
that being said if after i watch this episode, and probably two more, dont be surprised to see me
giving it the proper praise that it deserves down the road in these forums.
if he is so good at finding what people have lost then he can find my bloody car keys i
lost 12 years ago
and have not found them ever.
"a few words on looking for things.
when you go looking for something specific, your chances of finding it are very bad. because of all the
things in the world, you're only looking for one of them. when you go looking for anything at all, your
chances of finding it are very good. because of all the things in the world, you're sure to find some of
them."
