"are you there vodka? it's me, chelsea" is based on the book and comedian/talk show host chelsea
handler. this show follows the adventures of chelsea (laura prepon), a twenty-something woman who
doesn't let anything stand in her way of succeeding in her life. with her friends, who know that it is
chelsea's way or else, mark (jo koy) and shoniqua (angel laketa moore) are there to add support for
their friend. however, todd (mark povinelli) doesn't take chelsea's attitude and keeps her mannerisms
to a minimum.

chelsea handler, herself, makes a reoccurring appearance as chelsea's sister, sloan, a woman who is
married and has a new baby. she and chelsea share a commonality together, that is vodka. "are you
there vodka? it's me chelsea" follows the life of a wonderful woman with a story to tell. created by
chelsea, this show dives into the famous woman's life and takes the viewers on a journey of who she is
and how she has lived her life.

1x01 -- pilot (jan/11/2012)
when chelsea gets a d.u.i., she realizes she needs to make some big changes in her life, including
moving closer to where she works - jerry's ultimate sports bar. she and her best pal olivia, discover
an apartment in the same building as their colleague rick - just blocks from the bar - and move in
immediately with the quirky and good-natured dee dee. meanwhile, sloane, whose military husband is
currently stationed overseas, is due to give birth any day and is not convinced she can count on the
freewheeling chelsea to be there for her at the delivery.

1x02 - sloane's ex (jan/18/2012)
when sloane's old high school boyfriend matt gunn, shows up at the bar, chelsea's adolescent
fantasies are awakened and despite sloane's objections, chelsea can't resist the temptation to go out
with him. meanwhile, rick tracks down his old girlfriend nikki to reconnect and finds out she's now
engaged to someone else.

wow man no need to be so harsh k. i was kind of curios as well as to how you knew for sure there
wasn't some obscure new show with the exact name as the one on the file. anyway, a good site to

i already did my research before i posted. even a monkey can figure out that there is a show of the
same name you presented; after all, you found it, didn't you? my question was, how do you know
that's _this_ show?

a sane person would've answered my question, even if just to say "i don't know for certain, but i
assume they're the same". you, clearly, are not that person.

most of the best, highest rated, sitcoms of all time used laugh tracks. laugh tracks are not indicative of
a shitty show. as for it's use in this show...i don't know yet...haven't watched the show all the way
through yet.

what really pissed me off was the laugh/applause track they used in the first couple episodes
of "whitney". it was aweful!!! over-powering. now i hardly notice it...i think they tamed it down a bit.

what a crap show! i hate the laugh track, but worse than that are the jokes it follows. absolute
garbage.

well, it turns out that the file name of the video did include "chelsea"; it appears that it was only omitted
on the torrent.

the show basically sucks, though. the jokes aren't very funny, but there's canned laughter at every punch
line. also, the main character isn't even very likeable.

it's too bad because i liked prepon in 70's show. incidentally, wtf happened to her eyebrows?

incidentally, i googled, and there is a product line called "footon" that's apparently supposed to relieve
stress through textured surfaces or some crazy thing, so there definitely could be a 'footon critic'.
