as written by saucerful but i don't think its as good as last weeks 720p encode
by dimension which seemed much better quality even though it was the same size/res
i was curious to see the difference between 350 & 1000 megs, so i got this, and
despite having the matroska pack (so i play .mkv's often) my computer basically
locks up no matter which program i run it in.
is the hd rip too much for my relatively old computer to handle?
is it just me or does this rip look not so great for a 720 capture. it looks
noisy for some reason. i also got a 720 capture of the first ep of rome season 2
and it looks 5 times better than this, and its the same size.

this isn't true 720p (i.e. non-interlaced 1280x720). it's just an avi that is
the same size.
try searching for m2t files, they are true 720p.
i don't know why rome looks better than this, though (x264 is lossless). must be
the capture card.
yeah i know this isnt true 720p, it is compressed. those uncompressed hd files are huge, but look
amazing. i just dont know why the rome release i got was sooooo much nicer than this. they are both
x264. i guess its just the way it is captured.
