i think alternative timeline is bullshit, created by greedy governmentcoporations.
they are in their own past and soon they will have to deal with temporal paradoxes, holes in time
and other deadly stuff. that's what in badlands.

good enough show. i think spielberg is a little dinocentric. also have to go with
the future on this one.
couple thousand people vs billions. hmmm..... rape the shit out of that alternate timeline.
anomies, first the whole purpose of terra nova was a fresh start for a few thousand people.
and second, bad guys were not doing what they did for the benefit of the entire mankind. they only
wanted money for themselves.
well i think this might be where the missing craft that enter the bermuda triangle go, this is based on
what was attempted to be shipped back to the future!
but that's what i think
only the next season will unveil if they produce one.
anyone else hazard to guess what the badlands are?
you post soon after the episode is posted. it's a dumb request seeing as it should be obvious to you
that there are more people downloading the episode than there are uploading. if it's not obvious to
you, then you need to look up how torrents work before making dumb demands.
i don't understand why week after week eztv releases both version of the show. then suddenly, pretty
much randomly, they only post one version. that's not even mentioning the countless times i've seen
shows come up in the 'airs tonight' section of the home page only to never actually see the episode
be posted. what's weird is that sometimes the episode makes it onto the rss feed or i see it
uploaded by eztv on tpb or some other site like btjunkie. it all just seems pretty erratic.
i know they are offering a free service. and i'm grateful for it. some consistency would be nice though.
industrial smoke tubes inside a biodome = epic fail... seriously even if you
reason that connecting them to
the exterior of the giant dome would risk its integrity you could still make a filtering layer for
it instead of
keeping the pollution inside...
so really kudos to the one who designed these digital sets because it must have been tones of work but
that detail made it all less convincing in my eyes, right along the "brother and sister" of
different ethnicity
which pose a glaring genetic impossibility.
not to mention setting up defenses so close to the gate when they have ranged weaponry is extremely
stupid even if it was done for the story sake.
i think this series should decide what it is, a little kids show, a family show or a sci-fi action
series, it can't
go all ways.
how did you manage to pull that one out of your ass? genetic impossibility? are you referring to the
children of the main characters?
it is common knowledge that people tend to take on more genetic trade marks from the parent of the
same sex, so as far as the boy go, he are likely to get more from his dad, and hence, looking more
american.
his sister however looks like a different nationality than the mother and younger sister, but this
means nothing in my book.
do we even know for sure if she is a biological child from here parents?
no, we dont.
and even if she is, lets not get stuck on stereotypes here... i am 100% swedish, both my parents are
100% swedish, and as far as i know... there parents parents are to... and yet, people keep telling
me i look like a foreigner, thats life.
real world are not so black and white(pardon the pun) as you would like to believe, i find this very
realistic.
i will however agree with you about the smoke tubes and the biodome, that looked silly indeed... but
on the other hand:
if the dome was built after the buildings, and the dome was designed to protect the city from a
rough planet environment, then it would still make sense i suppose.
and lets take a crash course in p2p.
to all the people flaming the guys who ask for seeders(as annoying as this might be), i don't
suppose any of you guys understand that we can all be connected at the same time, and still be
connected to different seeders.
and since some seeders have better broadband than others, the speed can change greatly from person
to person.
it don't have to be anything in his computer, it is more likely he got less lucky with his seeders
than you guys.
and since there are several people who all make the same request, it seems logical to conclude large
parts of the network has bad speed.

i'm sorry my friend, but you are wrong here.
it may very well be his computer. spyware and even upload speed set too low are known causes of slow
download speeds. it might also be that his torrent client isn't set up to allow enough connections.
his isp might also be blocking connections and/or throttling his downloads.
age of the torrent has much to do with it too. demanding people seed soon after a torrent has been
put online is seen as bad etiquette and utterly useless. this is because people can't seed yet! if a
torrent is new then most people haven't even gotten a full copy of it yet, so they can't seed even
if they wanted to. lets
not to forget that it's pretty normal for a new torrent to be kinda slow when there are over 2000
downloaders for a couple hundred (if we are lucky) initial seeders.
people should learn how torrents work and how to be patient before wasting their time demanding
things that are beyond anyone's control.

you begin seeding as soon as you begin downloading. sure, you can only seed the bits you've got, but you
are still seeding it. you dont have to have a full copy of the file to seed it.
love it when people spout knowledge without thinking about what they are saying.

amandao is of course correct, parts can be seeded as soon as they have been received by the client,
but who your client distribute them to is what matters in this discussion as far as i am concerned.
i am a software developer, and have been for the past 15 years.
my knowledge of the internal protocol of torrent is limited, but it is my understanding that the
network priorities the packets that are most rare to try and keep the whole file "alive" as much as
possible, i am uncertain how fast vs low broadband users are prioritized in this process.
i will agree with you on the upload cap, but there is no reason to assume the worst about people
when there might be a logical reason elsewhere.
blaming spywares is a cheap excuse, as big as problem as they might be for -normal- users, there are
plenty of issues that might occur on a clean system.
i want to point out, that i have had a few issues on trackers(possibly) from this site in recent
time, not to long ago my client took for ever(hours?) to even connect to a single seeder, but when i
asked in this forum i was alone with the problem(i think), it might be that the people in this
thread had similar issues.
nearly all seeding issues are isp based.. throttling occurs on most of them now, and it's rare that a torrent
client is responsible. sometimes the first time you connect you'll only get a partial list of seeds available, so
after about 5 mins of slow inbound just use your client's 'update seeds' or whatever it has. normally that
will help.
if a client is badly configured, then thats most likely down to fiddling with it's settings when people have no
idea what they are doing. all that i know work fine out of the box so to speak.
there are people who cap their upload speeds of course, and if you get stuck with those, then you'll be
waiting a long time. if someone is giving you constant low upload speed, then just ban their client from
your list, and it will find another.
my up is around 100k, and i set my cap at 80k so i can do other things while seeding or it comes to a
grinding halt. not everyone will give 80% of their upload speed as many isp's include uploads in bandwidth
calculations now. you could use all of it up just seeding, and what good would that be to people?

epic fail indeed. this show isn't bad as falling skies, but it is close.

⚠ SPOILER ALERT - (Click to reveal)
it is so freaking obvious that is not even interesting. the moment we can see the whole prow and he
says "is not as statue" it became clear that it is a ship from the bermuda triangle. the enemy is
heading to the badlands to go back to the future. then they start vomiting stupid questions and
comments, to make easy for the slowest of the audiences to connect the dots. the episode ends with a
family reunion, watching an exciting meteor shower. at this point i was hoping for a gigantic meteor
entering the atmosphere in flames, killing everyone in terra nova and ending my suffering.
lame show. just makes me miss lost and bsg even more.
