when you hear/read something like "...would take a completely fresh approach to the material." you
just know it'll turn into "brown matter". not every excellent brittish tv-series must be turned into
a mega-hollywood explosion-saturated, pornographized, predictable mind-numbing 13-a-dozen movie.
please, leave the doctor alone or must we get the eu to protect the franchise?

christ really people? calm the fuck down its only a movie its not going to interfere with the tv show, its not like there hasn't
been plenty of crappy doctor who in the past. if the movie is good great i get a good doctor who movie if it isn't who gives
a shit its not related to any of the current doctors so whats the harm?

neither of the cushing movies are tv series canon (in fact they actually contradict some things in
the tv series) and the tv-series still exists. if it's a separate continuity simply based on the
same character it shouldn't affect the tv series at all.

i think this is really stupid its just outsiders cashing in on one of the biggest show franchises
right now if your gonna do a doctor who movie< it should be by davies and moffat together. even if
it doesnt follow the story it should be them they are doctor who now, who gives a fuck about the
harry potter dudes. your shits over get over it.

they have tried to make a movie of the doctor (1996) and quite frankly as soon as hollywood gets
involved the stuff it up, quote "if it ain't broke don't touch it". i am from the old classes of the
doctors that watch the originals on tv i like the new adventures because they are adventures and if
they give in to a movie they will fill it with crap (excuse my language) the concept worked in 1963
to 2011 why the hell touch it. if you have not already guessed i say no to a movie in this day an
age they will turn it into some love story and forget about what the doctor is about, fun and
adventure.....

if they don't follow dw canon, then it's not doctor who! somebody please stop this madness!

i read somewhere on zite (apple app) that this will be a reboot like they just did with startrek. so
it would be interesting to see what they do with it.

hard to predict. the dctor imho was reborn in 2005 nicely, tennent did a pretty good job, but it is loosing
its momentum and quickly going down the toilet, especially with this last incarnation. just does not work
for me at all....movie? if they are gonna use the present cast, i am not interested!

i don't see how it'll be a series killer. for one, who can know where the series will be in 2-3 years. and
they clearly sate it will have little to do with the original or reboot series. i for one am always excited about
anything to do with doctor who, and judging by david yates other films i think a film franchise with him at
the helm will be absolutely wonderful.

get david tennant to do it... win!

is this the end of the line for the doctor? is it a complete move to the big screen or just a visit? i think
the movie will be a series-killer and must be stopped. i say, organise petitions and email campaigns to stop
this madness and keep the doctor and torchwood at home in the uk and on tv

looking for a new project ...

a: "well, what do we do now?"

b: "i dunno, we need to find something new, she says definitely no more potter books ..."

a: "yeah, it's not like she's gonna run out of money soon either, maybe we can find something that
hasn't been taken to big screen yet?"

b: "comic book series?"

a: "nah, they are all done now after the cape failed, no-one wants to touch new ones"

b: "how about a remake, we could redo lost in space, maybe a big screen the jetsons ..."

a: "not a bad idea, how about we take a tv series to the biggies? maybe lost?"

b: "lets look at the ratings and see who we can rip off that won't sue us if we fuck it up - plus if
we go for a foreign franchise it don't matter if we fuck it up for them!"

a: "yeah! who gives a fuck if we take a really good foreign series and turn it into shit, it's not
like they're gonna invade us lol! we already fucked up the office, reggie perrin, abfab, changing
rooms, cracker, dad's army, fawlty towers, the it crowd, life on mars, red dwarf, vicar of dibley
and one foot in the grave ... one more won't make a difference!"
