The Walking Dead 2x06 (HDTV-PROPER-FQM)

the number of people hating this season is obviously high but are there a lot of people like myself
still really enjoying it?

well i'm personally really enjoying it, i thought the cliffhanger from the previous episode was
interesting and i'm looking forward to the development. i don't know where all this hate has come
from, i've enjoyed every single episode.

the criticism is mostly coming from those who want this to be a zombie action carnage fest type show.

that simply isn't the vision of the creator of the books, so they probably should get over it and go watch
spartacus or some other crap show. walking dead is primarily a character drama set in the aftermath of a
zombie apocalypse.

i'm enjoying this season for the most part (this episode withstanding)

it reminds me of the last season of breaking bad. i heard a lot of "it's slow", "it's dragging" &
"booooring" near the middle of the season and it all paid off in the end

my view of last ep was "less drama, more walker please" but i do like the storyline, and will keep
watching. do love some zombie carnage though!

i really like it it is a bit slow but i quite like the pace! im glad it isn't constant over the top zombie kills
and explosions but some people are never happy are they??!!

i don't care how boring it is as long as they show plenty of stana's ass and castles daughter they're both hot as hell

as for those saying who cares about propers you want to try livin on 30gb a month fuck nuts then tell me all the stuff ups
lately don't matter

wish they would leave the credits on the video its annoying not knowning if the programme has ended
or not plus they usually have previews of the next episode

u know what would be a good source of drama? being forced to make tough decisions like leaving small
children and those who cant keep up behind. the only threat the group has encountered was the horde
in the start when the girl got lost, after that all zombie attacks have been either when they have gone
for food or meds, or just a single zombie that doesnt really pose a threat.

also its not a drama set in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, the zombie apocalypse is happening
and isnt going away. but in ur defense i can see how u got confused cuz of this season.

and if i havent made it clear yet, then if we examine the drama part of this serie then its really bad.
bbc survivor didnt have any zombies, just a virus that killed like 95% of the world. but that was some
damn better drama (season 1)

on another note to make things worse, ive been getting some prison break "twist" vibes lately. thats not
a good thing...

well, i'm afraid that i (and the creator of the show, incidentally) just simply disagree with you.

robert kirkman is on record as saying that the walking dead of the title refers not to the zombies, but to
the "survivors" of the zombie apocalypse. the book, and show, was conceived to show what might happen
after a zombie movie ends.

if the show stays true to the books then the threat of zombies will become less and less prevalent and the
drama of the show will center almost exclusively around how living in a world where civilization has been
destroyed changes these characters. the threats will not come from zombies, but from what these people
will become capable of, as the very elements of being human that we all take for granted slowly wither
away.

which, frankly, will make for much better tv than simply watching them run from, hide from, and blow up
wave after wave of zombies.

it won't get cancelled. it was renewed for a third season two hours after the second season premiere
aired.

the show is a drama, not a horror/action. there are gonna be slow parts where they have character
development and inner conflict, etc. if you think it's boring, fine, stop watching. personally, i find it to be
very interesting with a nice mix of zombies. the show's about the survivors, not the zombies. if you were
looking for the tv version of a romero movie, you chose the wrong show.

use vlc, you can offset the audio track to fix it.

i find this show incredibly boring as well... and i love zombies, not to mention the comic it's
based on.

it's not that there's too few zombies on screen or anything like that (what's there is excellent
btw). it's just poor execution on the script. there's no goals for the group to achieve, except to
survive. that's a huge problem as for the most part of the show they just stand around in no danger
at all. resources never seem to be an issue, nor does safety. for the most part they seem to be
quite content despite the world ending.

the actors does not bring enough emotion in my opinion for that to suffice. it just ends up being
uninteresting.
