it's always happened.
between all the various holidays in a year, the american tv season system is garbage.
you get 18-22 episodes, enough for 18-22 weeks, but it's spread out over like 8-9 months. it leaves
like upwards of 10 weeks of no new episodes in there. sports, holidays, etc.
british series may be short, but there is none of this screwing around. same here in korea, when
they air a show here, start to finish, that's it. holidays be damned.
i've only seen the odd preempt for some kind of national disaster. like the artillery shelling last
year.
