i think it's just sad that they're letting go of this show. it isn't quite like anything else i've seen. it's not as
dark as deadwood or hell on wheels, so you could watch it as a family. it's not as light as the old school
westerns though, like bonanza or wild wild west, so it's more fun for adults. the period detail (imho) has
a lot of appeal. plus the fact that it's the australian old west rather than the american west (coupled with
the fact that there's no other specifically australian show that i've ever gotten into) makes it much more
interesting to me.
there's a facebook group/petition to encourage giving wild boys another chance. if you like it as much as i
do, you might go add your voice there.
ps: is it a matter of financing that there aren't shows that get much attention from the english speaking
community outside of the american and british ones?
i guess canada did have degrassi and it's got lost girl now. there was a vamp show that was canadian
that i used to watch occasionally and a police detective one that i forgot the name of.
i can't think of anything from ireland or australia at all.
australia is watch american crap ( reality tv) no disrespect to the americans. there r a lot of good
american tv shows but reality tv is crap. good aussie shows are far between these days. the history
of this country is good and this show at least came back to our grass roots. just like lonesome dove a
great american tv show as well as lonesome dove the outlaw years.
its a pity that the iq level of australians seems to be lacking these days or is the world iq dropping ?.
yes ,before you have a shot, i am a proud aussie and wish that our tv would piss off reality tv and i
don't care where it is made. currently still watching hawaii five o,homeland, terra nova and yes pan
am a bit of airline history which is pretty true of the times.
