great show but there is one actor who simply does not fit in at all. he's just there. not sure what they were

frankly, i think that the problem is with zooey. don't get me wrong, i think that she's awesome-
just not in this. i'd say that she's badly miscast, but i believe that the show was built around her.
i just don't know what she's doing with the jess character. for some reason jess is a case of
arrested development. her behavior is like that of a 13 year old girl- but zooey is doing nothing
at all to try to sell it. the character just is not believable the way that she plays her. she
just seems like zooey deschanel pantomiming the behaviors of a 13 year old.
