Two and a Half Men S09E03 HDTV XviD-ASAP

is it just me or is this show just a waste of space now, dont get me wrong i loved the show, ive seen every
episode over and over even the ones where it was mostly the allen show which were annoying as fuck but
now it just seems to have lost it.

ashton is just pure pathetic, his acting abilities are not showing through as his character is very simple with
no emotion other than acting like a non convincing 5 yr old. jake is boring as shit now, his lines (if he has
anymore than 2) are very basic and not even funny stupid, just dumb. alan is boring as always, actually no
scratch that he has turned mega gay and has some weird confidence that does not suit him at all. berta is
the only funny one left.

also does anyone else find the new intro very creepy and weird? jake doesnt do a good job or replacing
charlies part, he just bobs his head and looks at the camera from time to time, alan comes on the screen
flaming and showing his true colours, then ashton comes on with some weird voice that does not even
sound like his, hes got a wide range of creepy expressions that not only creep me out but also do not
depict his character, they make him look like hes a crazy man and actually has some attitude or
expressions, this is not the case as he has 1 look on his face while acting. very misleading and creepy intro.

note: i never use ashtons characters name in this comment as i believe it is yet another fucked up choice
made by the show about the new character, the first mistake was hiring ashton.

no, the first mistake was thinking that there could be a show without sheen. people always loved to
hate this show, and they loved to hate sheen. even so, the fact is that the show worked (people
watched it, even if they wouldn't admit to it), and it worked because of sheen. none of the other
characters were ever funny in themselves, nor were their interactions with each other. every single
laugh came from their contrast with charlie. the other characters were shaped for and by charlie,
and charlie was shaped for and by sheen. supposedly, sheen said that he carried the show and
everyone who worked on it. he was right, and we're seeing the evidence now. i have no idea what they
want to prove by trying to continue the show, but whatever it is, they're not proving it. however,
it is a genuinely interesting experiment, demonstrating how one single element in a complex
production can be so important. i can't wait to see how bad the next episode will be!

yep, i definately agree! unfortunately for us we write our diappointments, wish charlie was still in
it and we still watch the bloody show in hope it gets better. so the saying " any news is good news
" sucks doesnt it!!

yes, there's the risk of becoming one of those who watch shows they hate...

to avoid that, and also be both strict and fair, i decided to count my laughs (smallest counted unit
being a humorous snort, at 0.5 laughs), and follow the show until an episode gets fewer laughs than
the one before it. if i laugh enough that counting becomes cumbersome, i'll even take the show off
probation. so far they've had a nice development, with 0.5 laughs in e1, a 200% increase to 1.5
laughs in e2, and another 100% increase to 3 laughs in e3. those are some pretty impressive
percentages. of course, there's a tendency of dwindling increases, but it's still too soon to
determine a pattern. if it steadies out at a 100% increase per episode, things will look pretty
good, pretty soon: 3 to 6 to 12 to 24 to... 384 laughs in e10. by the time the season nears the end,
i'll need an oxygen mask to stay alive through an episode. on the other hand, while the relative
increase per episode is impressive, the absolute numbers are less so. an average laughs to episode
ratio of 1.7 is downright depressing.

the inspiration to count my laughs, was the discovery that they were so few that it would be
impossible to avoid counting them. now i'm waiting to see if they can make me laugh at least 3.5
times in e4. the suspense! i've never before had this much fun with not laughing!
