i have a 720p display. it's called my computer. it has a blazing fast 85hz
refresh rate, and shows look fantastic on it. nothing like a classic trinitron
for very fine dot pitch and near zero response time.
i watch on my laptop (1680x1050), but to decode 720p (if it's a typical mpeg4
profile) would req. me to unleash the cpu, and with it suffer the fan. not
worth it. hrhd is a nice compromise.
what kind of player do you use to watch this? i tried it with winamp and media
player and the audio volume is way muted. i guess it has something to do with
5.1 sound....but surely there is a way to listen to it on a 2-speaker computer
setup?

try vlc player. it has extra audio controls, so you can put those on max, and
then adjust your speaker volume accordingly. much louder than wmp.
sound for the first half is ok, but then, at the end of one of the breaks,
there\'s a high-pitched \"crack\" and the sound is seriously muted. i thought
my
ht receiver had fried - but it\'s on the disc.
there\'s a lot of \"out of sync\" audio all through this too!
after the break, the sound slowly comes back to full volume, but then at the
next break it happens again...and again.
only in the last break is the sound volume ok again but still \"out of sync\".
wish there was a better 700mb version available.
