i started watching this show on the weekend and watched all 7 eps. if you have seen and like "walking
dead" i would suggest you will probably like this show.
substitute zombies with aliens and you have "falling skies". they have been developing the characters
and the storyline pretty well.
so, all in all - i will keep watching it. no doubt whenit starts to get really interesting and gets a bit of a
following they will axe it!

well, you did a pretty good job of it! i miss farscape, i guess i just like muppets in space. i'm
not as down as you on falling skies but it is going the way of forest scifi.

i don't understand why people hate this show. i've been liking it so far. a show doesn't need explosions
every 3 minutes in order to keep my attention. in fact, i prefer when a show takes it's time and expects
the audience to put some effort into paying attention. most shows these days don't do that, they just cater
to our culture's collective add. but this show is happy to go it slow and tell it's story, and still has it's
action parts when it's necessary.

i don't understand it either? what was everyone expecting?? i thought it started a lil slow but i

great points made by all who've posted, and personal opinion being personal opinion they're going to
differ.
frankly, i only watch this weak drivel because there's bugger all else available at the moment.
i long to return to the quality days of stargate sg1, sg atlantis, sg universe (can you see a
pattern here?) the good old days of the star trek franchise, bsg.
those were the days...this rubbish being pumped out now, should be axed and any one of the above
revived.
the characters in fs (most of them anyway) are incredibly wooden, two dimensional and frankly, if
the survival of the human race wasn't at stake as part of the story line, i'd be happy to see the
lot of them buy the farm or become alien fodder.
the plot lines are ill conceived, the supposed technology of the aliens is vastly superior to what
little remains of ours, and they are basically in control of our planet, it's resources and it's
destiny.
yet bands of lightly armed, rag tag humans are able to seemingly roam the deserted towns, cities and
countryside apparently at will, unhindered by the aliens, who never appear to attack en-mass, and
are apparently oblivious to nanotechnology as a weapon, that would have seen off every adult human
on the planet who would have had absolutely no defence against trillions of single cell sized killer
machines programmed to only attack those over a certain age.
a rifle or even a tank would have zero defence against such tactics, especially as our species have
been reduced to a guerilla hit and run force without access to advanced technologies to combat it.
ok yes, it's sci-fi and one has to suspend disbelief somewhere, but if it's not remotely plausible it
becomes sci-frigging-ridiculous instead.
come back stargate, star trek, bsg...i miss you more than i can say.

i'm probably going to get flamed for this but,
i've been watching this thing from the start and the one thought that is reoccurring in my mind is
how much this show reminds me of half-life. especially now that there's another batch of aliens
controlling a lower level bunch, also how most of the technology seems to be mismatched. anyone
else get the feeling?
i don't know just my two cents, they really need to do some kind of over-haul if they keep it around
for another season.

i feel the same way. its a shame that good shows don't last. im ashamed to admit but i just recently
got around to watching caprica and even more shameful star trek enterprise. im ashamed that it took
me so long!! damn i wish these shows were on air!

i see where you're coming from waffleghost, it's that kind of vacant expression on most of the
actors faces that reminds me the most of the characters you meet in half life.

i liked enterprise too anon, wish they'd let it run longer than they did. first off though, i
couldn't shake the feeling the 'al' was gonna pop up at any minute and declare "sam, 'ziggy'
predicts a 100% chance this show won't last!" ๐ found it's stride quickly though and ended up
another quality piece of star trek sci-fi.
caprica lost it's way early on for me to reckon it too much. the religious elements didn't do it for
me either, nor the ozzie woman who played the baddie who was sucking up to the 'wife' (whatever
their names were) the whole thing had a weird depressing feel to it, and always left me thinking
something like 'well...that was another bloody downer'.
