Battlestar Galactica S03E04 HDTV XviD-SFM

i'm not sure static images give you a good idea of the overall quality, i
notice it more once i'm playing back the rip on my tv, sure it's not huge, but
if you like quality it's more like the dsr rips just lack some of what your
used to.

for me i had not started on season three yet, and then discovered the current
rips were dsr, so i decided to wait for the hdtv rips, it's just a matter of
choice, and it's good we have some.

also with hdtv, from what i have read, networks can't push in pop up mini ads
and stuff with a hdtv feed, so it's cleaner rip.

wow, every week.. same old responses. there really should be a disclaimer on
this site when you sign up for these people.

thank you for this release! replacing dsr rips is always good!

as i said, i had not finished the download so my screen shots were just what i had.

the dsr rip had a way lower quality in terms of sharpness when compared to the
hd rip. the black levels alone make it a higher quality for me.

i didn't read half of your post guys coz i'm sick of the "i don't like it",

anyway, i was waiting for this re-air for a long time, 03x04 is one of the best
episode this season so far. will there be a 700 mo release as usual ? (i usually
don't download those anymore coz i'm kinda short on free space on my hdd right
now, but for this ep... !!).

actually, that wasn't an hr.hdtv release. hr releases usually clock in at
around 700mb per episode and is roughly half resolution of a full hdtv broadcast
at 960 x 528 pixels. better quality. there usually is an hr release of most
hdtv rips, like dexter and heroes, but for some reason episode 3 last week
didn't get the hr treatment (that i could find).

easily ignore it after all its just a link =/

for all the people who say they can't see the difference, check this sample out.
one is from normal dvd, other is from hd-source, sampled down to dvd-resolution.

should be the same quality, roughly, no? no!
