the sound is again gone. why did immerse again change the codec. what is going on with them. it is
only immerse it has happened to. why do they change to a codec that does not work properly

there are also some block artifacts during the intro and in the sequence with the c4 (there are also
mssing frames) ...

i know for a fact that the intro is supposed to look blocky like that, that is how it was on my tv when i was
watching it live. i am not sure about the c4 sequence, i don't remember it specifically.

there's some weird stuff going on with this release. vlc simply shuts down on 3 distinct points in the
video, other players have similar issues (linux btw.). i'll stick to the low-res version for now...
thanks anyway, show's not bad.

show seemed pretty forgettable to me, but i saw some review recently that said it gets better after
the third hour, so i might keep watching and hope it shows some promise.

i went back n got the eps at 350 meg etc .they played fine on media player classic .

i played it via ps3 media server and it did not skip or anything ...

action-sci-fi

i wonder how long that series will last. could be that its stupid enough to succeed

the aliens are portrayed as surprisingly humanoid(also in their psychology it seems) and most of the show
focus on military life of a large group of refugees in a a post-apocalyptic world.
high production value but not very sophisticated story-wise.

the sci-fi element here is used simply to create the post-apocalyptic environment and dehumanize the
enemy.

pros:
very good special effects and lots of action.
female protagonists hotness factor : 90%
cinematography is not bad at most times.

cons:
poorly written and directed.

okay, a plausible plot...except the story presented has more holes in it then swiss cheese.
was spielberg really involved in this catastrophe??
other than the improved acting and special effects, compared to "plan 9 from outer space" this
series will appeal to anyone who thought that was riveting!
don't wake me when episode 3 appears...

i think spielberg's only involvement was that the protagonist has a beard and resembles a young steven
spielberg.

spielberg's current production is the upcoming terra nova which should be way better in both concept and
execution

not long. i've already found myself skipping past crap i've seen a hundred times before. the sooner
the aliens kill, eat or enslave the cast of this show, the better off the viewing audience will be.

no wonder scifi shows die so soon nowadays, their current so called "fans" are morons.

90% of written-for-tv scifi serials start off on a very shaky ground, the writers don't have time to get in
depth with any characters because they have to deal with the rules of the world and how the "fiction"
happened, it's all mostly fluff for the first season. even startrek tng's first two seasons were quite dull and
meandering compared to the rest of the show.
