in the 1996-2000 nbc crime drama "profiler," actress ally walker played a detective on a violent crimes task force who
used her analytical skills to solve cases while tracking down her husband's killer.

in the notably lighter new lifetime show "the protector" (10 p.m. sunday), ms. walker plays gloria sheppard, a divorced
mother of two who works as a los angeles police department homicide detective, paired with an admiring but occasionally
exasperated partner, michelle dulcett (tisha campbell-martin).

miguel ferrer is also in it. plays her boss. i might check it out just for him. never could stand walker very much (that
perpetual dead, emotionless stare...), but miguel is a good actor.

it was okay. not terrible as others seem to think, but there was nothing there to make it stand out
from the crowd. i'll wait for the second season of rizzoli and ives to start back up next month.

she was kick ass in sons of anarchy...and pretty decent in the 1996-1999 tv series "profiler". i also
like her cameo appearances in several other cop shows over the years.

i'm a bit turned off by the description of this new show but i'll give it a whirl.
