you know, last few mins, soppy boohoo music, non-speaking glances, lonely wanderings, sad change,

or perhaps smallville? they did it all the time too.
or lost? ahh no, that was usually a piano solo, not boohoo music.

exactly, it wasn't an homage to anyone but themselves - how south park is just the same old shit for
10 years running and, you know what, the audience (as we have seen in the comments here) and the
writers just can't be bothered anymore - time to move on.

one important thing to note is that they've defied what they said in the episode about things being
exactly the same and resetting each week.. stan's parents split up. it'll be interesting to see where
things go for the remainder of the season and whether an ongoing story continues to develop to end
out the series.

i was thinking the same thing, and i thought the storyline was good. but the literal
and non-stop scat humor was pathetic and just fucking gross. for awhile, i didn't know why i kept
watching the show anymore, but after this last episode, i think i'm done. i just can't appreciate
or enjoy the cartoon scat imagery. farts and toilet humor is funny to a point, but this episode was
way past that point, for me at least.
