episode 72: underwater car
if you're unfortunate enough to drive your vehicle into the drink, is it
possible to escape or will a watery grave be your fate? heading poolside, the
guys get their feet wet by doing some intensive underwater training. then the
pressure is on as they seat themselves inside a submerged car and do their
darndest to get out. meanwhile grant, tory and kari roll out the seven paper
fold myth. is it possible to fold a piece of paper in half more than seven
times? taking this myth to the outer limits, our crew sets up at a location
that has plenty of space

should this be s04e02 (or e03)? or was the fourth season just the shortest ever? =)

if you follow the season and episode designations on tv.com, this is season 5
episode 2 (since "pirate special" was a special)
but if you follow the ones on the mythbusters website, this is episode 72
("pirate special" is not designated as a special here)

i think the test was acurate, it coundn't have been any better
the only difference on this and if they use a moving car, would be that either
the car or adam took some damage. and any damage would be unrelated to the
myth itself.

pressure doesnt have anything to do if you're on an ocean or a lake, it's only
depth and density dependable....

no one had problems playing this? i have 5sec of green screen. (quicktime pro)

k, more spoilers.

frankly, they said "well it wouldn't open under pressure", but the pressures
of a 350lb on the window where it's directly blocking it's ability to go down.

look at the screen more, you'll see the weights actually pressing up against
the side of the door preventing the window from rolling down, so not only is
there 350lbs of metal pressing down, there's 350lbs of the same metal pressing
up against the side of the door.

i have 6 seconds of white screen. i tried quicktime and real player

update: it worked with vlc

i get playback with vlc< but i got nasty echos in the auio. it[s not out of
sync, but everything just echos. i've increased the memory priority and quit all
other processes, but no change.

could someone please upload the latest mythbusters episode?
