so this show was cancel good and bad hope that the last episodes will be really good.

damn cliffhangers!

i know the show had it's problems but really to end it like that with no chance of a conclusion is
just going to piss off the fans who stuck with the show for 22 eps.

...earth was thrown out of orbit because of a huge change in gravity. both planets lost their
atmosphere and eventually froze due to lack of sunlight. they ultimately crashed together and large
chunks of both planets drifted off into space.

btw, anyone catch the janitors in the background after the shootout at the airport?

the last episodes are amazing. i just saw this last. the serie must continue. is awesome. this is
season finale? serie finale? will have another episode for this season? i want to see more. anyone
knows something? please reply if you know. thanks.

why do they end shows when they are just getting interesting?

because no one watches them, and they are too expensive to continue making.

actually, i think the nielson rating system is flawed and because of that a lot of good shows get canned.
this seems to be the case especially with broadcast tv shows.

i doubt a show like amc's the walking dead would be renewed had it been aired on broadcast tv.

when they tell you 111 million people watched the superbowl, those numbers are not based on any factual
data, instead its an estimate that is based on a very small sample of people with nielson boxes
furthermore they're focused on people watching ads and not the show itself.

yup, just when it got interesting they pulled a syfy on us.
i remember there was a comic book similar to what happened in the end

i just don't understand the american tv system.
money, money, ratings, advertising, competition and more money. total disregard for quality,
interest and the will of the watcher. it seems us tv networks dictate what is available to watch
because of revenue from advertisers and little consideration for paying customers. at least cable
company's have some relationship with their customers. is the us happy with the entertainment they
get for their cash?

i have been really enjoying "the event" (except it's hiatus and slow mid episodes, it's death bell)
it's been fairly fast paced compared to other scifi shows over the last few years. it's a shame
there may be no conclusion. the whole story could have been finished in one glorious season if the
focus wasn't to drag it out for the hope of a second.

yes i'm from the uk and yes i like the bbc, i pay for it and sometimes, mostly, i get something
good, short and to the point and enjoy myself watching "live television" without commercial
advertising. i really resent some other uk channels that require you to absorb advertisements, i
just can't bear it and don't watch them, that's my personal opinion.
most watchers in the uk, don't download, if they only knew that shows were already canceled before
they reach our channels, i doubt they would even invest the time starting.

well it was an interesting end and yes its a shame the story is left open with no conclusion but then again
will i miss this show ?

cool to let your audience know that they are watching a program called the event and the only time it is
mentioned there is going to be an event is on it's very last episode lol.

i don't want them to carry on with the show, the acting is never great the story is half arsed and it's always
seams a waste because the sets and locations are always good, it's just the content is bad.

i want to say that i agree the rating system is not a true representation of people watching. it is
however what is currently being used, and does give you a general idea.

i kind of liked this show, even if certain elements annoyed me. i did watch it to the end, and i
would watch it if it continued. that said, i don't pay for it, so i'm hardly contributing to the
show's bottom line, and in the end, that's what the entertainment industry is all about.

it would be a miracle if some other network will pick it up since the way it ended they would need a
shits load of money to properly continue the story

god d*mn just when it starts to get really exiting they pull the plug... what a shame

does this have the closing credits & music? i know i'm probably overly fussy but i hate watching episodes
when they just end abruptly particularly when it's a finale...
