the guys from eztv have obvious reasons to not allow ddl-links.
these links may possibly mean legal trouble for them so they should not be posted here at all.
however, directdownload-links via rapidshare whatsoever aren't generally crap at all.
i'm actually pretty sure the guys from eztv use 'em themselves for their private matters too.
considering there are many people living in countries where the copyright owners employ people to
find and prosecute people who download torrents of their stuff (which means they distribute it at
the same time which is the bigger problem in terms of legality), ddl-links are the much much safer
option compared to torrents.
the reasons for that are too various to name them all.
i haven't heard of any case ever anywhere in the world where someone has got into legal trouble for
downloading via http-links.
even if there was someone, it would only be for downloading not for uploading,uploading is
worse which is a huge
difference.
and i haven't heard of a case of someone who got in trouble for uploading either, there certainly
aren't many if any at all.aussie kid $1.5m+ because he uploaded a mario game that some shop
put out on the shelf a week early by mistake< -- that;s just one that hit the papers
on the other hand there are plenty of people who were, are and will be sentenced to pay huge
amounts of money because they downloaded thus uploaded via torrents.
especially the music industry is very active, but the movie industry is too, and allegedly some tv
channels collaborate with certain isps and uses receive a warning for downloading via
torrent.actually not even close, the organisations that own the material emplot companies and
individuals to join swarms and along with a log from their client containing all details like, time,
ip address, filename, etc and there legal department sends the infraction notice to whatever isp in
the world was responsible for that ip address at that time, the isp then depending on the countries
law, will act on that info
downloading music via torrent is probably the worst thing you can do.
i like and use torrent, i like and use eztv especially for tv-shows it's just great.
as of now that is, who knows what hbo or others are going to do in the future.
long story short, there simply is no need to badmouth ddl, many people stopped using torrents for
safety reasons long ago and many might -have to- follow if the industry increases their activities
to prosecute torrent users.
just saying.
