is this gay couple actually in the book ?

if so please stop talking about the fact their are two gay men in the tv show based on a book that
has two
gay men in... it's retarded.

personally i found the older child sucking on his mothers breast more disturbing but there you
go.

yeh that was pretty horrible, i think i'm just used to the ay scenes because of 6ft under. the gay
scene in this was nothing compared to 6ft under, where if it got too bad i would just look away, but
it would be stupid to stop watching all together because you would miss out on some great stuff in
the rest of these shows that show some stuff that you don't like

not to do with the quote but another about what's much more annoying here than the gay scenes: the
thing that pisses me off more than anything was the opening 5-10 minutes in the pilot was the best
by far imo, with those creatures that we haven't seen since. i was (naturally) expecting
fantasy-creatures to appear in a few more eps, but just that opening of the pilot?!?!?!
seems like a bitch move to me, putting cool stuff in pilots but that's all

yeah the scene with the older kid sucking his mother breast was absurd, i would not be surprised if
this show gets in a load of trouble because of it.

and its not hard to see that half the stuff they put in this show is there to make buzz and publicity.
thay are going out of there way to chock people(nice realistic horse scene btw)

i have no problem to admit that i am a bit homophobic.
i strongly believe that everyone should do what they want to do as long as it don't hurt anyone.
so i'm not against homosexual people, i just don't want some nasty dick waved in front of my tv screen.

and i'm perfectly fine with no sex scenes at all ether, like someone already wrote... if i want porn
i will download porn.

but unfortunately, -gay- is a marketing thing, and a very good example of this is in harry potter, how
jk turned albus doumbledore gay to boost here book sales, after all here books was released(yeas,
that is the reason... there is no doubt)

i find it very disturbing that people would use things like this to boost sales/views or whatever...
one wonders when they will start using child porn in the same manner(would not be surprised if they
add it to this show btw).

trust me if jk rowling say's dumbledor was gay he was gay, she has no need to boost sales with that
comment after the books been published, do you know how much money that woman has ... i doubt she
ever cared about sales after her first million in the bank and she is worth a billion + easy. that's the
most short sighted comment i've read in a long time.

and i very much doubt that the fact that dumbledor had a gay relationship when he was younger which
you don't read about at all in the book would spark the gay community to rush out in their hordes to buy
up every harry potter book in sight ...... lol

if you was reading harry potter you was reading it for harry potter not for the authors comment on
something that never happens in the book.

i respect anyone's view as far as dislike towards the nudity in the show but i can't see how you would
justify yourself in having that taken out and keeping in the gore, the horses head being cut off the
starks guard having a dagger stabbed into his eye ball. it's fine to show the killing which i assume is
illegal in your country as it is in most of the civilised world, but sex .... ohhh nooooooooooooo if
everyone's so adverse to seeing a bit of cock why don't you chop yours off and be like the eunich...just
a thought.

ps please don't take offence to this post nor take it literally i was being sarcastic take care of your balls
and preform regular health checks.

honestly speaking, im not a paranoid homophobe or anything....
but the song of ice and fire series is a masterpiece and i think its a shame to stray from the
author's vision.
up till now the series has been loyal to the book...
1)the white walkers only showed up in the beginning and werent mentioned till later
2) the ammount of graphic sex and nudity
3) slow pace and tension build up
4) even the freakin toddler nursing

but thru the series it was never blatantly shown that renly and loras were gay
it was always sly underhanded comments or symbols that made the reader come to the
conclusion of it on his own only very late... so yeah in this case the writers sold out to get
ratings which is just sad. and it opens up the door to totally butcher the story

first of: i am not homophobic by no means. i know plenty of gay people, being how they wanna
bedoesn't bother me. having to see it and having it being stuffed into the middle of a great episode
(out of the middle of nowhere) is a different story.

i think it's much better for our fantasy fiction to keep all things 'different' behind the curtains,
especially when it comes to people who have sex or feelings or touching or eye contact (or anything
mistakable by an audience as one of these things ) with a person who is different from them in ways
other than gender (imputed, not identity)!

and since when do our shows start adding impurities to the chocolate--that girl is serious vanilla,
and i don't appreciate you melanin-deficient people ruining my strong male characters by showing them
having sex with pasty heliophobes. i don't want to see white people having sex! that's just gross
and a great way to ruin a good show. ):

lets keep the white people out of my entertainment. enough of this 'my body is beautiful' political
crap--i 'understand' your 'pride' in the fact that your veins show and you sunburn easily, so now
stop ruining my entertainment and get off the tv!

this is a good attitude to take. we all are homophobic, though most of us don't know it and won't
admit it. i find it's much easier to just accept that i will do stupid homophobic (and racist)
things, and hopefully somebody will point them out to me so i can learn to stop doing them. it's
when we say that we say that we aren't that we really turn a blind eye to how our actions
hurt people by trying to rationalize them as being something else. for people who find themselves
doing this, think you weren't the one hurt, so stop acting like a victim! just swallow your pride,
apologize, and try to learn something and move on.[/soapbox]

(why am i telling this to people on the internet?
*sigh* it's okay to hope...)

cool sounds like they are being pretty faithful to the book, they could have easily cut out the breast
feeding child so i am guessing they are sticking close to the book. i am all for that, if you bothers people
that the content is to harsh for whatever reason then don't watch it. it's clearly the imagery set by the
author so booo hooo to those who don't like it. personally i love the show can't wait to see the next episode
haha.

i'm in the middle of book 3 and have not come to the conclusion that renley and loris are gay. and
that scene was certainly not in the book.

>>if everyone's so adverse to seeing a bit of cock why don't you chop yours off and be like the
eunich<<

you mean to say i think..."chop it off and feed it to the goats!"

so you are not bothered by the beheading of a man, the cleaving of a horse, the repeatable banging
of a shield to a mans face etc
but you just cant take seeing a dick or hearing a sucking sound for a few seconds?

cant u imagine its a woman who made the sucking sound?

how is this different from the scandal of seeing a nipple at the superbowl.
a nipple is baaaaaaaaad.
guns wars and violence is goooooooood

as you can see there there sexual relationship is actually mentioned in the book. it is ofcourse profitable for the series to
put a stronger emphasis on a relationship where the gay community can identify themself with. if a simple marketing trick
like that is to much for you to deal with is suggest you look around more and see that everywhere you look this kind of
marketing happens but for a hetrosexual audience. for example the rather big emphasis on whores in this series.

really, really sad and telling when people object to sex, but not to the extreme violence. why is
sex worse than violence? you're like the muslims who think it's okay for a suicide bomber to kill
innocent people, but it's not okay to watch porn. really? i think you religious nutcases need to
re-evaluate your priorities.

you are not the sharpest tool in the tool box... huh?

oky, first of all... lesson 1.

what do rich people want more of? the correct answer would be: more money.

it don't mater how many millions or billions they have, they always want more.
the more money you have, the more expensive life style you get.
this is how the world works, it has nothing to do with my personal opinion.

and apparently you know nothing about the hp books ether, perhaps should you read the books before
you start to argue, there is not a single word, or even a remote hint, that the relation ship he had
with his friend as a young was gay.

basically, all the books mention is that he shared some opinions and interest with a guy when he was
young, and they spent some time writing mails to each other(arguing about how to handle 'muggle
related politics').
now... if every guy who have something in common with another guy, and liked his company ... is in
fact gay ... that would include all guys on this planet, including me.

and lesson number 2 for today would be, yeas... authors and famous people do make random statements
on things they like to defend, it is far more powerful if famous and liked person make these
statements, than average joe's like you and me.

and by making the statement that here famous and popular character was gay after he become popular,
she made allot of publicity(and acceptance for the gay community), this is how people work.
it happens every day.

and just for the record, jk's sales did increase big time after she made the statement, and that
would be why she did it.
