using a better client now so downloads are faster? ..but that has nothing to do with eztv or the change in protocol ...or the people who were using good clients to begin with but now have slower dl rates ...i now have to use utorrent for eztv and its slower and more unstable than my previous client |

everything was working fine for me until the switch to x264. however this is not a complaint about that, i love the quality and file size. however, now nothing from eztv will connect, get no connection errors, dht backup only and 0 peers 0 seeds listed. all ports are forwarded, allowed thru the firewall. and other torrents from other sites still work. i figure its just me, but could there be anything that changed recently that i should change? btw i use vuze. any help would be appreciated, tired of waiting longer to get from other providers. love eztv ty guys. |

i dunno, this has been happening to me for the past 2 weeks. sometimes though, i get the peer and seeds and i get the downloads, but it might take upto 2 days for it to start. all other torrents i get run just fine... i found if i add http://tracker.ccc.de/announce udp://tracker.ccc.de:80/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://exodus.desync.com/announce udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce udp://tracker.istole.it:80/announce http://pow7.com/announce to the tracker manually it starts the download. only the tracker "http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce" ; is listed on magnet links... guess theres a problem with it. |

i add these to all my torrents and magnets regardless: http://10.rarbg.com:80/announce http://atrack.pow7.com/announce http://exodus.desync.com:6969/announce http://eztv.tracker.prq.to/announce http://secure.pow7.com/announce http://t1.pow7.com/announce http://total.recall.tracker.prq.to:80/announce http://tracker.prq.to/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://tracker.torrentbay.to:6969/announce then i remove the ones that don't get a response. with the dht and these trackers i usually get full speed for those that are well seeded, for the others i just wait it out. |

i am having the same problem. everything was fine initially after the switch to x264 but this last week or so i can't download anything from eztv. same problem says no seeds no peers. i have tried vuse, utorrent and bit torrent all the same. if i try to download an eztv file from say torrentz same thing happens won't download. however if i choose ettv or someone else downloads no problem. i love eztv and would rather keep using this site, can anyone tell me why this is happening?? thanks |

this is just my opinion, but utorrrent 2.2.1 is not a shitty old client. until very recently, it was the latest version that was stable on all the trackers i use. it works great for all the other trackers i use, both public and private, and doesn't come with all the baggage of extra features of later verstions that are useless to me. i tried all the fixes mentioned here, and none of them have worked. i've used a wide variety of sources for my tv downloads over the years, and when one source starts giving me problems there are many other ways to get the job done. you're right about how i won't remember this problem in a while. i never bother to return to problem sites to see if they work for me. it's just easier to go elsewhere. |

thanks for that. dht kills me. i add something, and the dht fails, so i get nothing on the new torrents. maybe 5 mintues later..or 1 hour later or 2 hours later suddenly the dht starts working..and i start to get peers. but 80% of my torrents the dht fails out of the gate. i have to keep refreshing it till finally it starts grabbing peers. this helped tremendously |

im sure they are but they really shouldnt be running on an incoming port 80 connection. alot of isp's block that port to prevent people at home from running web servers, ineffectively its easy enough to forward traffic to another port coming to the domain but meh they do it anyways. anyways if you are like me my isp blocks all incoming traffic on tcp/udp port 80 so that tracker doesnt work for me. nothing wrong with my client. nothing wrong with your tracker aside from some very very poor port choices. |

i have no issues here with any of the changes and i use utorrent 2.04. (i do have several issues with later versions of utorrent though, but that's outside the scope of this discussion) i have no issue with x264 encoding either, my media server (serviio 1.1) works fine with it and i can watch everything i get on my sony bravia. max |

i have had these issues off and on the last month. i use utorrent 1.8.3 because i find the newer utorrent versions were troublesome. i have been using the older utorrent for over a year at least. this eztv issue has only been the last month. i could not get some eztv links to work. example today i started 5 downloads this am. 2 worked fine and three had 0 seeds or peers. i added the above trackers someone mentioned and enabled dht in the problem torrents and immediately they started working. i have dht disabled for private tracker reasons, they suggested it for proper seeding on their site. thank you for the help. what i added: http://10.rarbg.com:80/announce http://atrack.pow7.com/announce http://exodus.desync.com:6969/announce http://eztv.tracker.prq.to/announce http://secure.pow7.com/announce http://t1.pow7.com/announce http://total.recall.tracker.prq.to:80/announce http://tracker.prq.to/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://tracker.torrentbay.to:6969/announce |
