all of our release (n.b. vtv and mvgroup make their own torrents) only contain udp
based trackers
and dht. now, if your client does not support udp trackers correctly, or does not have dht, then you
will not be able to connect and get any peer information. it is also known that some vpn services do
not handle udp correctly, and it is suggested you contact them and get them to fix the issue.
here is a list of the trackers we add to our torrents:
so again, our torrents are working fine, and the issue is with the clients not supporting these
trackers properly.
actually, the one problem all these trackers have is they're all on the same port, port 80, which
some isp's are blocking for udp connections. (it's only allowed for tcp-http connections, and port
80 is in the reserved range). i've been hitting torrents that are failing on all of these, but udp
is working when the tracker has a different port.
i did a little research to get results on which program gave the best results for torrent
downloading, and why.
over a two-week period i used first bitcomet and then utorrent, downloading the
exact same streams with each, and paid attention to the torrent souce availability per
program, and download speeds.
result: i only use utorrent now, because it is 347 percent faster than bitcomet in every way.
it recognized more trackers, got them to respond and participate better, and managed my
bandwidth better than bitcomet.
while using bitcomet i couldn't even get my e-mail, and it took much longer to down a
torrent.
this is not to say there aren't better programs out there ( bitlord ? vuze ? etc. )
but not having tested others i'll say that which one you choose does make a huge difference
sometimes.........

i have not had a problem with downloading from eztv using utorrent and btguard, but users appear to
be nearly disabled from uploading from me. any ideas? i download from other sites and uploads by
peers go extremely fast even through the proxy, but ezit torrents can take a month or more to reach
100% upload.
my bittorrent has all the right settings, peer to peer exchange, peer discovery enabled, and i
upload but some files just don't download. even with http in the tracker name. i am new to this so
any ideas?
please find some udp trackers that are not on port 80. amazingly, my isp (clear, aka clearwire) has
actually admitted they block port 80 - (and they rarely admit anything, even their throttling).
well all i would like to say is thanks. i am a soldier like a couple of people on here who loves
this site. i have passed the link on to so many and we constantly use it. there must be thousands of
us using the links to your site now for shows. over the last week or so we have not been able to
download and for the less technical minded this is crap. why change something brilliant...... back
to btjunkie for us by the looks of it as we can no longer get connect to the links off here.
hey i am also having an issue downloading anything as of late. i am using bitlord and i have been
on this site for over a year and this is the first time i have had any issues with downloading. is
there some new setting that i have to change so that i can continue to download from this site or is
there a torrent program that you recommend? one that masks my ip so my internet provider will not
know i am downloading shows and stuff like that.
i'm also having similar issues, although it's not with all files. some have been downloading but others wont
and i'm also using bitlord. any help is much appreciated.
i'm finding that as soon as i open a browser window and open the eztv site i'm losing all access to
trackers. i've also found that on a few occasions i've been able to trick the 'system' by closing utorrent,
and then opening a youtube video and while it's loading i restart utorrent and the trackers are all
reconnected, but only for a few seconds, as it appears i have attracted a 'spying eye' who soon blocks
them again. after a couple of hours the trackers all start working freely again, and do so until the next time
i open the eztv site which set the dogs loose yet again. to get around it i've just been going to the eztv
page at tpb and working things from there. it totally appears that big brother is watching all activity here
and blocking tracker access to eztv visitors somehow. anyway, at least the tpb is still working.
this might be unrelated to the subject, but can someone please tell me what has happened to royal
pains?
i have downloaded up to s3e10, but have not been able to locate any episodes after that. has the show
been cancelled, or does series 3 end on episode 10?
with reference to the recent udp trackers, i have put these http trackers in all of the newer torrents
that since last week would not connect, and i am again connecting and downloading.
i use bitlord 1.1 and all is working.
use copy and paste for these, abit long winded, but works.
hope this helps anybodylike me with old software.
fritz
p.s.
love the site nova king. best torrents online.
hi, of late i'm having messages "problem with tracker" or "requested download is not authorised..."
can anyone advise why this is the case please
apologies if this a stupid question!
