ep16 was about 6 weeks ago, why did it stop screening?

i can think of two reasons
1) networks are stupid, witness the stop/start process of a number of shows recently and the
protracted breaks that killed some.

2) the order for the show was extended to a full season, maybe they needed the extra time to work
the extra episodes into the story line.

i'm leaning towards mostly number one with a smidgen of number two.
