actually the first episode described here premiered way back on 25 feb and the second episode was on
1 april (though they may have repeated the first episode as well). otherwise i agree almost 100%..
it was very good imo... eva green was hot and awesome, fiennes was a great (and somewhat
manipulative) merlin and the rest of the cast was very good too. guinevere too is a babe and
arthur's biological mother is played well by claire forlani. my only criticism was arthur himself
was just a little odd... but he grows on you quickly.

you would be too if you grew up a regular peasant and suddenly thrust into a situation like this. lol

he's a lot less odd in the second episode though.

it was good, but like spartacus, they could cut down on the sex a bit and have more story. there was
3 sex scenes in just the first episode, i think that is a bit much and overkill. it just makes it
all seem cheap when they do that. i am not against sex and nudity, but they seem to use it in order
to get ratings instead of making a better episode as a whole. the second episode was better in that
regard and i enjoyed it more. .

i'm sorry but i disagree about the quality of this show. i think it is boring and nothing like
spartacus. the plot does not move forward and is almost nonexistant. the settings look cheap and
there are too few extras to make it believable. the nature looks stunning though. the only scenes so
far that made me want to see more was with guinevere and arthur finding out she was engaged.

a couple of days ago i saw another period piece, the borgias, and in my opinion that show was far
superior in storytelling and building suspense.

i also look very much forward to game of thrones.

looks like this and borgias will be a good replacement for spartacus.

spartacus was well cast and well written, this is just a poorly cast mish mash of ideas. they got the crucial roles totally
wrong, arthur is terrible, joseph fiennes has one facial expression the same one he overused in flash forward which really
doesn't suit the role of merlin even in a reworked version of the story. i'll still watch it in the hope it gets better but its
nowhere near as good as spartacus.

the first episode of spratacus wasn't all that great, i agree it was better than this, but this defenitly
could become something great. who would of thought spartacus would be so deep towards the end,
maybe we will see more of that here.

lol! i meant the actor who plays him... he just seems wrong in the part (and i had already seen the
second episode when i posted that)!
