Will ‘The Event’ Be Renewed Or Cancelled?

it sucks because i like this show.

i thought it was already cancelled and they're giving us the last episodes because of compassion or
something.. i've already come to terms with this ending. sucks, though. same as with flash forward - i
liked it a lot, but apparently ratings-hungry folk don't think they get enough money out of this 🙂

oh it will canceled. i can be sure of this for a couple closely related reasons:

1) i like it
2) its not reality tv

i watch whenever it comes on. its better then most other tv shows on right now.

chai i loved flash forward- this show however sucks bigtime! i am glad its getting cancelled.

why do the networks do this?! they have a show, that does great in their ever so important "ratings"
system, which they then decide in their infinite wisdom, that it would be great to stick it on hiatus for 3-6
months... of course they won't get everyone back when it returns to tv land...

i need to apologize, i firmly believe that this is largely my fault. you see, i really like the show, and
unfortunately, the trend seems to be that if i enjoy a show, they sabotage it...

sorry, i'm bitter at the moment.

yup. this was another of my casualties...

the show executives did it to themselves putting in a hiatus.
and then they wonder why no one watches it.

for f's sake, snoop, stop with the absolutely useless editorial articles. this is not news!!!

nbc sucks plain and simple. no one comes back to watch a good show cause they are always canceling
the good ones.whats the point.

actually thats a very good point. many people find it very hard to invest in a new show, as they have seen
so many fall at the first hurdle recently.
knowing that theres a large possibility that a show will get canned if its ratings are just ok its not worth
iwatching it until you know it has at least a second season greenlit.
this is all the networks faults, not just the one in question here.

shows like this with a complex story arc suffer hugely if there are too many breaks. imagine if 24 had a 12
week break in it! even that would have probably failed to get past its first season now..

how to kill a good tv show.....put it on a long hiatus.

these tv execs really are a bunch of dumb fuckers. when are they going to get it through their overpaid
thick skulls that people aren't going to come back to a show when you have gaps that long.

event ! what kind of heartless monster does this ?!

i love sci-fi genre, but likely now it is the end of his era.
just by putting one or two stupid handsome look vampire, and 1 or 2 stupid prettylook b*tch
teenagegirl, it will increase the rating dramatically... (i think).
