it's too bad there will be no season 2. it is a great tv show, one of the greatest cops serie in a long time,
comparing to the bad boy/cops crap we are stuffed with nowadays.
to my mind, it is the rightful heir of the wire.

definitely a great cop show.... way better than several others i could name and certainly more
original. can't understand how people can be passing this by.

another one bites the dust: stargate universe, caprica, the event, etc. this is a good show and you
can't take your eyes off imperioli. he's complex, compelling, and wonderfully restrained.
the handwriting is on the wall: no more scripted shows at 10 pm on broadcast. kids love reality
shows which are cheap cheap cheap (did i say cheap?) to make. it's clearly a generational thing.
network offerings are determined by the young. they own television: they just let the rest of us
live here.

what a shame, there was not one bad episode all season. atleast southland is hanging in there for
one more season.

i must say that this was an amazing cop show that should have satisfied anyone who even remotely
likes this genre. you've got good backstories, the right mixture of procedural action and longer
story arcs, a kickass cast playing believable characters and lots of potential for upcoming seasons.
did i mention that i love the motown-style music selection?
i do believe that the show is up there with the best copshows like e.g. the wire and the shield. i
just wish the csi audience would be aware of that.
too bad this show was badly promoted, located in the wrong time slot and on the wrong network. this
should have been on hbo or showtime ...
