i liked the first episode but it's only 8 eps so have been getting the others and will sit down for
a marathon when it's complete.

i like it. it's not great but i find it enjoyable. i also like the fact that it's a mini series, i don't think it
would do well if they tried to drag it on forever but as a mini series i think it's good.

its watchable and though the pilot and its sets are well made, the rest of it is pretty much a british take
on bsgreimagined meets lost.
i think there are several key problem with this show:
1). the writing and directing are not nearly as good as battle star galactica reimagened so all that
obvious attempt to create a bsgr-like show simply makes it look like a wannabe show that has no
understanding of why bsgr was able to pull that dark anti-hero style and this result in lack of trust
between the audience and the production team so to me that makes it harder for the viewer to actually
accept the show...
2). in terms of plot the unfolding obvious resemblance to lost makes the intention and direction of this
show even more questionable in light of problem #1.
3). lack of hot female actress on this show and lack of other likeable lead characters makes for a huge
problem for a show that is mainly about the characters(alot worse than caprica actually).
the only cool characters on the show are actually the "villians". the lead characters are kind of
annoying( maybe its just me but i keep wishing someone would kill that lame and pretensious cas
character already)
4) the action in the show is pretty much limited to what you find in the average cop show, its probably
not due to budget because i can tell the cgi in the show is actually good.
if you want something for comparison take merlin, its another british show however while the merlin
story is not that great, at least it pulls through with likeable characters, pretty cool action sequences
and humor.
a show doesn't have to have humor but it must have some redeeming qualitys about it that make it
worth watching, in the case of outcasts it the sci-fi angle and the visual sets that actually well made..
so i rate this 5.5/10 and suggest that you watch it as background while drawing or doing something else
meanwhile.(vlc player's always on top comes in handy)
otherwise after the pilot its probably an absolute snore, still better than nothing though.

this show is very bad, at least it was for me. i had high hopes, since i like sci-fi, but this
barely touches sci-fi. and you will probably hate each and every character in it apart from the one
who is killed in ep2 and maybe that clone leader. everyone else seems like assholes and its hard to
sit and watch them... top that with british accent and there ya go! in my opinion this is closer to
some soap opera, rather than... i don't even know whats its trying to be. someone mentioned bsg, but
i don't sense any of bsg in this - its a huge stretch to compare those imo.

then run for your life!

i find it amusing that they are finding allready cut diamonds. who cut them? a mystery to be
resolved. ahhh..., mystery upon mystery. what other surprises will we find. look! its not
the best, but it keeps me amused. dont badmouth the film, its one of the very few we have
left. what will we do when it ends? i find the actors very competent. they could possibly
have put a little more intrigue, but then we take what we get. i for one like the show.

battlestar galactica was a soap opera
battestar galactica _reimagined_(2004) was not really a space opera even if it had elements of such.
according to wikipedia its genre is described as:
post-apocalyptic fiction
serial drama
philosophical fiction
psychological thriller
adventure fiction
military science fiction
political drama
space opera
so if you didn't watch it you should.
primeval is pretty bad on the script most of the time but i have to credit it for very good cg animation
,not taking itself too seriously and realizing the importance of hot actresses to compensate for the half-
assed stuff.
