avira is not a media player, it's an antivirus software, thanks anyway.

you were not specific about when this is reported,

when you go to d/l

when you put it in your client

when you move it to a new directory

when you try to play it

asf is a video container

codec is required to view these files

i'm a long time eztv user, no recent software change and never had problems before

downloading starts as usual, when it gets to about 1-2% avira stops the download and warns for this:

tried several times

scanned the partial .avi file downloaded (not the torrent) and i'm getting the same warning

no way to further download unless i shut avira down.

at the same time i downloaded two other files from eztv without any problem

not implying, just suggesting, have you tried a different mirror for the .torrent file, just
incase/to rule out all possibilities

several other files with no problem at all. strange...
