without spoiling the first day totals, i can already spot one incredible unfair advantage for the
computer.
in jeopardy, there's a timer that must elapse for the answer to be read before a contestant can buzz
in to pose the question. the computer can buzz in the very freaking microsecond that the timer
finishes, something a human finger physically cannot accomplish.
what i'd love to see is a breakdown of what answers each man and the computer get right and wrong.
watson wrong!!! watson received $600 for beatles people
answer : "bang bang" his "silver hammer came down on her head"
watson's question : what is maxwell's silver hammer?
corrrect question : who is maxwell?
this should be deducted from it's winnings. too bad the judges didn't catch it.
would love to see jeopardy as a regular torrent. any other fans?
i'd love to see it regularly too. as for the disadvantage with watson, i agree, that nanosecond
makes the difference. still i believe human creativity is far superior that machine's...
from what they said in the first episode it does appear watson had an actual buzzer it had to use.
i dunno if they mechanism that actually did they buzzing was synced up to the micro second, so who
knows?
