the sports themselves, the real fans, and sports writers don't. the only us sport that claims to be
the world champs is baseball. the others just call themselves the nfl, nba, etc. champion. it's
just some people who aren't really fans that do that. but hey, anytime you want to bring your
champion over to play us for the world championship go ahead. they've never been up to the task in
past.

although terry bradshaw did call the packers the world champions when he presented the vince lombardi
trophy!
also, the nba used to officially call its winners the world champions, and the nba finals were the world
championship series, but they dropped that due to the growth of basketball internationally.
the nba and nfl no longer call their champs "world champs." the nhl has always been, as long as i can
remember anyways, the stanley cup champions. the press and public may refer to a team as world
champs but not the leagues. and terry bradshaw did not present the lombardi trophy to the packers.

the american commentators on the international broadcast clearly said that the packers are now world
champions. i think they were bob papa and joe theismann.
unfortunately i just got done downloading it and there are no commercials.
i'd also like to thank the person who commented first and decided to say who won the game, thanks for
ruining that for those of us who couldnt watch the game and tried hard not to hear the outcome.
