it's not supernatural's last season, at least not by plan. it may be renewed, it may be canceled.
we'll just have to wait and see at this point.
though... cw delaying the airing of the return episode after the mid-season/holiday break does not
bode well. it would seem that tvd & nikita are way more important to the network.
nzchick101 you are correct. to report smallville as being canceled is completely wrong and should be
corrected. it will not be coming back for an 11 th season would be correct. it has been well
reported since almost the beginning of season 9 of smallville that the main series creators, who
are/were both writers and producers, alfred gough and miles millar both left last year but still
supervise production. they decided to, along with others such as the cast not anyone at the cw, that
this would be sv's last season. and it was about 18 months ago now that it became official with the
statements they made publicly in the press. tv guide followed that story and has for a while now.
in fact alfred gough and miles millar had never planned to do more then 5 seasons to tell the story
from the moment of its conception so we were all lucky to see it last 5 years longer then they
planned to do the show they did so as much for the fans and it being a big hit, as well as for the
money they were offered i am sure. this last year the cw offered a good deal of money to go 2 more
seasons but all involved, including cast declined.
supernatural was also mentioned in this post, it has always been an issue year to year if it would
be renewed but with new interest and some higher ratings this year then in previous years it may
come back for a 7 th season now. will it be 7? geeesh doesn't seem that long. i do know writing for
a new season has began already of sn and i am pretty sure that is a good sign since they would begin
filming in the mid to late spring. its a show that grows on you and has a huge following now that
isn't all as underground as it used to be. so here's hoping for season 7 of sn!
