i agree, i hate replacement actors! and this prequel is just annoying, i mean after "kill them all"
when they finally killed batiatus and his bitch of a wife, which by the way where the best moments
of the show, i was hoping to start watching season 2 in january... and now what? this stupid
prequel.... is season 2 even gonna air this year? or do we have to wait till 2012? probably doesnt
matter anyway since the actor they chose to replace andy whitfield looks more like a boy than a
gladiator....

doubt that they can find an actor who actually looks like a real gladiator, like 99% of all male
actors today have more female features than male features, i mean cmon just look at the new
champion in the prequel, do any1 buy that he doesnt have any scars and super smooth baby
skin?

aside from that its a really fun show, after watching thou i feel kinda bad for batiatus getting killed
by spartacus after going thru so much shit in only episode 1 of the prequel

eye eye, i see it's started off where it left off, absolutely bluddy amazing, john hannah should get
every accolade available for this, years ago every part he had was of a trembling weed, then enter
this and we have the foul house keeper, complete with childish sniggering lines about male genitals
etc, i wondered if they could keep this going, but i'm glad to say they have and +1'd it in the process.

i never let the missus see this show, it's just too much for her and she would just sit there
moaning about the swearing, a real alpha male tv show at it's finest, next week can't come too soon.

that would suck, lots of those actors wait around for 10-15 years before they get anything. john
hamm of madmen fame or courtney cox of friends comes to mind. (not a big fan of courtney but she
waited like 10yrs after a bit part in a bruce springstein video and was a waitress.

i agree the guy was just great in s1-2.

omg i can't believe some of you selfish whimpering little bitches. the man that you could not even be
bothered to look up the name for is andy whitfield. you should read about his personal journey and
struggles with cancer. at one point he was thought to have been cured and would be healthy enough to
continue with the show but then he had a recurrence of non-hodgkin lymphoma...and he is only 36. i
saw an interview he did and it almost made me cry. he seems like a really awesome man going
through some really tough shit.

ok, now that i've got that out of my system. on to the show.

pixelated. adequate quality, but seems to be of lesser quality than the uploads from last season.

yeah replacement actors suck. how ever they already delayed the second season for andy. they made
this to fill in the time. then he got sick again. what more can they do?
they either delay the series indefinitely, or cancel the show. they did the right thing by waiting, so i won't
hold it against them.

at least it was at a shifting point of the story for the end of season one. so the change in lead will work
better than if it happened mid story.

doctore is not white, he is maori. anyone that would recognise him would realise he is jake the muss from
once were warriors, jango fett in star wars, damo i n couples retreat and he is soon to be in the green
lantern.

while watching spartacus it makes me proud to see so many kiwi actors in it, such a good show

impossible task to replace andy whitfield. he is spartacus after that first awesome season,
played the role so perfectly. can't see the show being anywhere near as good without him.

i never said they should have done anything more or different
ofc it's just unfortunate, personally i thought they were going to just can it all together when i
1st heard and i didn't care, seemed petty to complain about a show when a man's life is at stake

1 thing i will say about this prequel is it's nice to see certain actors again like the guy said
above with tamura. the main bad guy (2 lazy 2 look up the name, the guy that pisses on batiatus) in
this was in neighbors, a shitty aussie soap so it's nice to see that he's moved on to bigger and
better things.
also domina's new friend, i hadn't seen her before or after dexter season 2 but i guess i'm biased
there, i think 1/2 the actors in dexter are underrated.
doakes/erik king would make a cool gladiator 😛

boonesferry: 1 guy couldn't be bothered, the rest of us just continued on and i'm guessing %90 of us
are t.v nerds who know his name. like if you start talking about somebody do you keep saying their
name over and over as the conversation goes on or do you just start saying "he"?

jaime murray is her name.... check out the first 3 seasons of hustle which she did before dexter
(she was also in season 4 but it was nowhere as good as 1-3) and after dexter she played aphrodite
in the short-lived valentine (it wasn't very good imo but she got a lot of screen time). she's also
been in warehouse 13 for the past season.

ahh ok, tbh i wasn't that interested, i imdb that stuff when i am but interesting nonetheless

she'll always be known as "gross english titty vampire" 2 me, deb saying that was the 2nd funniest
thing in dexter after dex going down on rita in se1 xd xd
