if it's a revival of the original storyline, simply with new characters replacing the old, i'm all for it. if it's actually a full-on
remake, sweeping the classic series under the carpet and re-casting all the known characters, i really wouldn't be
interested. hawaii five-0, despite its good ratings, made that mistake, in my opinion. i watch it, and half-heartedly enjoy it,
but i'd be leaps-and-bounds more enthusiastic over it if they'd actually resumed the original series, not remade it.
hell, mcgarrett (sp?) could have simply been the son of ole steve (steve jr., even), and it would have been really hilarious
if his #2 simply happened to be named danny and he intentionally "revived" the old "book 'em danno" line because he
remembered his father said it (or something like that).
the charlie's angles movies got the revival part right, but then tried to mix-in comedy, which threw everything outta whack
and made them ultimately unfulfilling to either crowd.
