yeah finished watching this and it's just plain. there is no feeling to it, the actors are plain.
for a country that boast high budget, this is pretty ordinary.
the british version, the original, wipes the floor with this one.
another failed us attempt at an overseas tv series along with fawlty towers and kath and kim. i am
betting they are going to ruin underbelly, even though i didn't like season 2 and 3.
i'm a great supporter of us tv and cable shows; in many ways the us leads the uk in production
values, quality of plotting and adventurous scripting hand over fist. but, and here's the big but,
the us of version of being human leads nowhere. it's turgid, thoughtless and the leads have no
charisma whatsoever. i think this is a case of us viewers expecting too much from a us pilot of a
uk made show. if the large viewing figures continue i'll eat my bat . . . oh sorry . . . you know
what i mean. pointless.
i don't know where they get the balls to call this sci.fi.. it isn't. nor is it horror (obviously).
it's barely some sort of fantasy. what it is, is bad soap in a supernatural setting. i guess it's
exactly what you need to draw in the tween girl crowd.
