"Who Am I" TV pilot trailer shot

i'm sorry, but putting "3d" and "conversion" in the same sentence is only going to make me run the other
way as bast as i can. either shoot it in 3d or leave it in 2d - there is no middle ground.

yes there is - shooting it in 2d and converting to 3d so that you have both a 2d and a 3d product. why
on earth would the existence of a 3d project stop you from watching the 2d version? that's like saying you
would never drive a lamborghini because you know some of them have been wrecked. (although that's a
bad analogy, i really don't think the 3d converted trailer will be a wreck 😛)

why is this news..is every project that may or may not get off the ground and every little thing they do
going to be continually posted to news. maybe its just me..but im tired of seeing these stories for who am i
on the news feed

what's been covered so far is the fan-powered funding effort through kickstarter, which more than
deserved coverage. with that successfully completed, it is only natural that major milestones (trailer shot,
production done, pilot shot, pilot done) will be covered as well. it is a much better idea than let it all fade
into obscurity (which happens quickly on these internets) and, even worse, let the naysayers believe
they've been proven right when they said (and i quote) "that's money they'll never see again". this thing is
happening, and we do want the fans to take part in it.

and i've been saying for years now; what better place to reach the fans of scifi and tv than through eztv?

oh, i think you're being a bit too harsh. the news section is ideal for that sort of info. my only problem is that, for some
reason, i'm just not excited about this particular project. not sure why, really. i love scifi, i love the idea of an independant
project getting funded and produced, but the story description just doesn't trigger any "wow!" switches in me (and the title is
pretty bland). somehow it just comes across as a low-budget remake of several shows that have been done before (with an
actual budget), and all of those never made it past a first season. still, i wish them the best of luck, and i'll watch it when
it's ready (hoping it somehow "catches" me and makes me want to see more), but honestly, there's just no feeling of
enthusiasm or anticipation over it.

i don't know 3d made the last airbender movie much better!!

in any case, i will watch the 2d version, and i don't blame them for taking the offer of a free 3d
conversion... but yuck all the same.

so a 42 min pilot ( hour long episode) would cost just over a million ??

and who wants to be the first to pay such rates without even seeing a demo? hence the
conversion/distribution offer from the 3d eye people, who hope that the "who am i" trailer will help
them to sell their services. symbiosis.

wow, '3d eye' must have seen you coming from a mile away. i bet you've even blown half the money on
this sham 3d. they told you it was so expensive and you were getting it 'cheap', and you were
gullible enough to believe them. also, i'm an idiot who needs a good beating.

what part of "3d eye is paying" did you not get? the conversion would not be happening if syzygy were to
pay anything for it. there just isn't money for that. 3d eye wanted original content to use for promoting
their product. they got a tip about who am i because of the kickstarter campaign, and contacted syzygy
suggesting a deal. the deal is *very* favorable to syzygy, and at the same time 3d eye gets exactly what
they want for promoting their product. as "ess" said above here; symbiosis.

you can attempt to denigrate their disagreements with all manner of typifications, and yet... they
will still disagree with you

so, next time - try to think positive about accepting that reality
