Perfect Couples S01E01 HDTV XviD-LOL

just curious, has anyone seen this yet? i was wondering if it's any good. i noticed the waitress from it's
always sunny in philadelphia (mary elizabeth ellis) is in it, so that's a plus.

i am interested too. its always sunny in philadelphia is a classic every time.

i smell early cancellation. the show is not bad but its not great either. pretty average if you ask me.

it wasn't bad, but from what i heard from one of the writers on the show is that this isn't actually
the pilot, just a later episode nbc decided to air.

perfect couples revolves around three unique couples at various stages in their relationships, yet
who face similar problems. vance and amy are a couple who fight a lot and have a very active sex
life. rex and leigh view themselves as relationship experts and therefore a "perfect couple", while
dave and julia are considered the normal pair that everyone can relate to.

average acting, bad script, but i think this show could grow into something good, we'll see in a
couple of weeks time

i gave it a try and i must agree, it smells like early cancellation so don't even bother getting in to it. imo

good shows get cancelled everytime, not that i'll ever watch this show or antg about "american" view
of relationship & such, still ...pathetik.

warning do not watch it sucks i could barely watch 7 minutes and this isnt even the pilot so that means
nbc thought this crappy episode was the best perfect couples episode if they aired it first so yikes @
the rest of the season

jsbssoonguy was asking if the show was any good and i said it was pretty average, and in my opinion
it is. would you be happier if i said oh my god, best new show of the season!!!!!

you must be delusional if you believe our comments on this site are the reasons shows get canceled.

the best part was the part before the intro.

i think 6 episodes, and cancelation.

they cant get between, bbt, outsources, 2 1/2 man and always sunny.

well it didn't shock me. but i will give it a try and continue to watch. after 3rd or 4th episode i
will decide to continue to watch.

it was funnier than outsourced, that's for sure. will it get a full season? probably not. but if
that piece of crap can get a full buy-in, then anything is possible.

is it just me, or does it look like olivia munn has gained a bit of face weight? or has it just
been that long since i watched g4tv?

i hate it when networks don't play the pilot. it's part of the reason why firefly got the axe. you
don't get any character development. instead, you get to jump right into a later episode filled
with inside jokes you don't understand yet. it's kinda short-sighted on their part. but it's ok,
they've got endless reality tv, gameshows and spinoffs to shove down your throats, so enjoy!

i mean seriously, season 21 of fucking survivor? really? let's have another temptation
island...maybe someone will kill someone in a jealous rage, right after cheating on his/her
partner....classic television....

i think kyle bornheimer is funny....but he was really funny in worst week, and we all know how that
went. not even red foreman could save that one.

ok, i'll take my adderall and cease and desist.

i cannot think nbc's audience expectations for the show will be too high when it launches properly next
year.

community, though it is a big favourite of mine, is not going to provide a big lead-in and it will be up
against cbs' successful new thursday comedy block, and idol which has been moved by fox. it is an
incredibly tough slot in which to launch a new show.

another problem is it seems a poor fit in that slot. there is an irreverence to community and the office
that just does not apply to perfect couples, which seems to be targeting a different audience entirely.
even outsourced has plots that fit within the style of the established thursday shows, including returning
parks & recreation. instead it seems more like it belongs with the abc wednesday comedies.

13 episodes have been ordered for the first season, and as a midseason replacement i cannot see that
being extended no matter how well it does, but i can see all of them airing if it can manage to stay around
a 1.8 rating in the demo. even a 1.5 could keep it on.

well it just got a 1.4 for its first airing after a huge lead in and with no competition i say cancelled very
soon

make that a 1.3 in finals
with 3.560 million viewers
