is this the annoying yank voice with the annoying constant ad breaks and repetition, or the viewable
uk one?

lo the brit one has the annoying voice, while the american one has all the ads. either way, both suck.


the aussie one gets the american voice without the ad breaks and repetition, but its so far behind
its not worth bothering with.

you know our country is boned when the president goes on network tv for anything other than a press
conference. and makes these appearances at least once a month. pathetic

yeah, because it'd be so much better if he spent weeks and weeks on vacation on his "ranch" instead
of a quick spot on a tv show that helps promote science and education.

seriously, if your criteria for jumping the shark is so ridiculously low, then mythbusters would
have jumped way before this.

indeed i am, very. i'm also very pornographic.

but this repetition, even if the actual ads are removed, is extremely very annoying and hurts the
flow. not to mention the awful yank voice again. i'm talking both repetitions, mine and the show's.

quite a bit of excitement in this thread.. got announcer drama and potus drama

seriously, you guys whining about the yank voice are fucking hilarious... until very very recently,
eztv has only had the american files up for download.


so really, you're having a sook about something that has always been this way. if you want the
fucking terrible uk voice, go watch it on tv for fucks sake.

i'll definitely give you the repetition bit. eats up too much time that could be spent fleshing out
their methodology. i do recall reading somewhere that one possible reason for the repetition was
because some teachers will show one of the experiments to their class but not want to show the
entire episode (hence most clips are able to stand alone and still provide enough information).
don't know if this is true or not, but if it is i think there are better ways of fixing things for
the minority (students) without screwing over the majority (regular viewers).

as for the "yank" voice, i couldn't disagree more. i think robert lee's narration is far superior
to the uk gentleman's voice - even if lee does occasionally mispronounce things. can't weigh in on
the other voices since i haven't heard them.
